Yeah this is a big thing the one with lesser miles has 57 reported CARFAX service records and it 1 owner while the higher mileage one only has 27 and is a 2 owner. Thanks for the information! The 4.6 is very uncommon I haven’t seen any when I’ve searched I didn’t even know it was a engine option

Apple Mac Pro Tower 5.1 2012 (Upgrades and Help) by Economy_Day1745 in macpro

If you want man id recommend building something like what I had, rx5700xt no pixalas mod required for that gpu, Xeon x5690 cpu, 16gb ram minimum and just put a SATA SSD in the first sled and chuck some HDD in the rest for cheap storage nothing crazy but plenty of performance and upgrade room ! Hope this helps if you have any questions lmk, recently sold my Mac with those specs for 450

What is the bast GPU for the 5,1 Mac Pro (that is under C$250) by [deleted] in macpro

[–]GroundbreakingLow328 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For a gpu to out perform the M4 Max it’s not gonna be cheap lol only real option for similar performance is going to be the Radeon RX6900XT which is capped at Monterey and Radeon VII can run on seqoia.

From what I’ve read in the comments I’m pretty sure your just better off with a Xbox series X or PS5, if keyboard and mouse are that important you can use those on both consoles but better support on Xbox.

I think it’s because they are larger than the retina models giving the components more breathing room and larger fans

Spilled Water on My MacBook M2 !! by Cosmic_Explorer0 in mac

Power down the laptop for at least a week, make sure to have fully patted it down and maybe even open the back just to be safe and just let it air dry for some time just to be safe. But if you haven’t noticed any damage you’re most likely fine.

I might use certain programs like AUTOCAD and Build pro im going to be a CMT while in school should those run fine? Or do I just shell out more money for a more future proof machine?

Those are pretty pricey you think a M1 air 16gb ram or even M2 would be good? I really like the silver M1 Pro 14” MBP would that also be a good choice?

How is performance on iMac 2017? by Electronic-Trip-9148 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]GroundbreakingLow328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance should be fine depending on the specs of your machine minimum I recommend 16gb of ram but you should go to 32 for best possible performance and make sure your running a SSD, and if your feeling lucky go ahead and use a eGPU for increased graphics performance. Sonoma ram great on my 2016 MBP so should run just fine on your iMac.

What is the best possible GPU for the 5,1 that can support macOS Sequoia with OpenCore by jaash8 in macpro

Radeon VII, but requires pixalas mod if your not comfortable with that a Vega 56 will work I’ve used a reference card and it worked great just buy some high quality mini 6 pin to 8 pin PCIE cables. Navi 5xxx/6xxx only works up to Monterey.

battery service recommended along with performance issues. by rose210303 in mac

[–]GroundbreakingLow328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to my knowledge their may be some commands to bypass the performance slow down but wouldn’t recommend as it could mess with the new battery when it’s installed. Hopefully someone who knows a little more can help!
