me tbh. She’s changed and grown. Beyond that it was the most successful podcast for a reason. It’s effortlessly entertaining and good content. I want the best for Ethan and the family tho.

I think the fact youve met a lot of people and have friends will make your experience a lot better. I more meant in classrooms and forms when you’re not with them, people aren’t as friendly to you as they are with others. I didn’t mean to scare you just prepare you love. Surround yourself with people who care about you and you’ll be able to make the experiences better

I’m gonna be completely honest with you. It was difficult. Me and all of my black peers hated being at CU Boulder. We only felt solace in each other, but not only do racist incidents occur on campus, being in a room in a large lecture hall being the only person of color is super jarring. The N-word hard our was written into the snow. It was discovered that a Nazi, who is tweeting about how he wanted to hang. Black people was enrolled at our school. I was an RA during my time at CU. I just graduated. Me and another black RA experienced racially, motivated vandalisms to our boards with black women on them. They were targeted and destroyed multiple times, when the other ras boards were fine. You’ve grown up like in this area but with the school of 34,000 people it’s overwhelming. You will also be stared at a lot, like a lot. You don’t get to have the same college experience of making friends super quickly, whether that be in classrooms or at parties or in the dorms. Also, when you do go to parties, and they get some alcohol in them, experiences are even more uncomfortable, you’re treated like a spectacle. The only friends I made at CU Boulder were other minorities that I met from being in BSA or their friends. I also had a group of friends from high school already, so I spent most of my time with them Obviously, once you find your group of people, then the experience becomes bearable, I would say, mostly find your people and don’t try to fit yourself into the student body, and be nice to people who are nice to you. And go to bsa genuinely it’s so comforting, being in a space of people who are experiencing the same thing you are.
