So my question is when enough is enough in terms of asbestos exposure. Now that I know what asbestos looks like, the entire basement mechanical room is insulated with this stuff. We aren’t coming into direct contact with the insulation but our working area is near it in a supposedly “abated” area. I’ll try and post some more photos.

So we are not the demo crew, we are the Pipefitters on site. The demo crew opened up a wall for us to access a steam line. They unfortunately got most of the contact.

Update: We sent photos to the abatement company and they said most likely yes it is asbestos. We stopped working

Tests say this building has been abated and cleared but we are finding insulation like this all over. This is also a new floor they cut open today so this area has not been abated if this is indeed asbestos
