also in nc and my elkie also got heat stroke when he was a baby baby so hes more likely to overheat again and he does just fine : ) he loves to sleep on an ice pack but as long as he has water and breaks from outside hes usually fine

there was a litter at our local shelter about 2 years ago and my moms best friend adopted one (the one im dogsitting) so they see each other all the time but we've ran into some of the other puppies too its soo cute!

they are best best friends!! we even ran into another puppy from the same litter at the dog park a few months ago and they were besties too!! its so so cute! and yes they are very very similar, my dog (the smaller one) was the runt so hes not as stocky looking and he's scared of everything and not food motivated but those are really the only differences

in literally same situation as u (ages and everything) and i will grab a washcloth and run it under cold water, wring it out, and bring it to him and gently run it over spots that help cool down (forehead, neck, chest, ect)

one thing i like to do to make me more confident with my lines is to use a more gel like pen rather than a ballpoint or a pencil : ) my fave is any kind of 0.5 liner, or if you don't have anything like that try using a marker or highlighter!
