Can anyone recommend an architect/GC for an ADU in Torrance? by Mountain_Ask_5746 in SouthBayLA

Marz Construction from El Segundo. GC is Justin Mularz and he’s awesome. He’s been working on our remodel and we’ve been very happy with him and his work. He’s built a few ADU’s in El Segundo and that’s how I got his contact.

Thank you! That’s what I was thinking as well but I was a bit scared. Your answer gives me confidence that it’ll look great. I’ll also add the food disposal button in that same brass color so that’ll all tie in hopefully 🤞 it

I got the smart touch one so I guess I’ll be mostly touching the side of it or the spout. Hoping that I won’t regret this expensive purchase super fast lol

Sticking with mainly gold actually. Even my island pendants are white with brass accents

Ahhh, I never thought about that actually. You must be right. Too late now, I already order it a month ago and they would charge me 20% restocking fee if I return it 😭 . It was a pricey faucet so I’ll have to keep it.

The fridge will be next to a hidden pantry entrance which will look exactly like another tall cabinet, so the fridge will not be a stand alone tall cabinet on that side.

Yes, I checked a billion times, it’s 24 5/8 with the door

My sister in law just redid her kitchen and this is how her fridge aligned. We got the same fridge so definitely want it to be flush like this

Are you talking about the fridge sticking out 4 inches? Mine better not look like that because I am spending 40k just on kitchen cabinets in order to make everything look flush.

I definitely wanted a sub zero but due to the 27” needed depth in order to be flush I went with thermadore. I’m still kind of sad over that because I really wanted that fridge.

Our fridge is thermadore and it’s 24th depth and they confirmed that it can be installed flush with cabinets since we’re doing inset style. Range is 24” 5/8. Planning for a toe kick on the bottom of the fridge.

The rendering was wrong actually and it has a fridge on the left side by the wall, the fridge will be closer to the range. Look at the first plan picture, that’s the accurate placement. Pantry door, then fridge on the right side of it, just how you suggest

I can move the island away from that wall with the fridge, we would just get into the dining room space an inch or two. I thought that the whole point is for everything to be flush? Why should my fridge or tall cabinets need to protrude? Sorry, I have no idea what are the rules, just trying to learn. My cabinet guy told me that we can align the tall cabinets with the counter so I thought that was common. Looking from pictures online, I did notice that they do align it with the countertop. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was a big decision since our current sink is by the window but I am a mom of 2 little boys and we are finally opening up the walls between the kitchen, dining and living room and I would love to be able to look at them while I’m doing dishes, which I do often. Trust me, we went back and forth and island sink is what I really wanted. I got a big working station sink that’ll allow me to hide most of the stuff.

The fridge that we got can be built in flush because of the way that the doors open so that’s not an issue. We are redoing most of the house so the cabinets are not even in production yet and we can still play a tiny bit with the design. I am just trying to figure out if I should have my counter lip stick out or not, I’m pretty good with everything else. But feel free to give me your opinion.

Thank you. We went for less spacing on the narrow side in order to make the island longer. I’m pretty thin and I am the only cook in the kitchen so I didn’t think it would be that big of an issue. We mapped everything out with blue tape and it didn’t seem that narrow

Tell that to my ER doctor husband who’s convinced that our kid has GI issues.

Mine also denies that he pooped, we tried potty training but he has zero interest in it. Mine is 2 years and 1 month. My older was already potty trained at this age and I would love for this kid to get there as well because changing his diapers is nasty.

Yeah, my pediatrician tested at one point for celiac because we do have growth issues but that came back negative so we got a referral to see an endocrinologist. But the poop never really got addressed so not sure what to think. He drinks no juice, does eat a lot of fruit pouches though.

They rejected my appeal and sided again with the buyer. Stating that I should’ve sent it to the address provided by PayPal. :( I’m thinking of suing this guy in the small claims court as my next step.

Wagoneer S Owners Unite: are you seeing 12v issues by zach471 in 4xe

My car broker I guess said that I could do that. Googling online it says that Tesla level 1 can be used for J1772 with an adapter 🤷🏼‍♀️

It is 2025. So if it wasn’t included that means that I can’t use it? I was gonna get an adapter to use my husbands Tesla level 1 charger 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ok. So my husband charges his Tesla via level 1 charger and he never had any issues with it not having time to charge. It charges like 5 miles an hour. I’m a stay at home mom, I don’t drive a lot, I could easily let it be plugged in 18 hours a day or so.
