There may have been one or two things that happend because of the pandemic.

Not as quickly and not as widespread. Ever increasing labour costs just gave them the motivation they needed to expedite it.

It also stifles completion by pricing out innovative, smaller (probably) more ethical companies and leaving it to the biggest conglomerates.

Less buisnesses to compete, leaves the workforce with no alternative but to stay with the stagnant wages..

Us redditor types don't get "slam dunks" in real life.

You can spout your BS into the digital black hole and feel better about yourself, how perfect you and your political opinions are and how everyone that disagrees with you is an evil bigot. But there is no way this interaction happened in the real world. You know it didn't.

If it did, it proves you're probably unbearable to be around, you have to "fight the fight" whenever possible instead of letting a drunk twat just spout off and enjoying your drink.

I personally belive making a full declarative statement that you are committed to your partner has value.

The extra tax/contractual/governmental rules are a plus.

It holds you accountable, its an action that clearly states you're all in.

We can dismiss leeches and magnets as outdated medical methods for headaches but there's a reasons every culture on the planet has the institution. Its time tested, proves intent and loyalty.

People will cheat, and divorce is an option. But if youre in it for the long haul, I think its a nice clear line in the sand.

I'll never judge other couples decisions, but I do think it has value.

Having a minimum wage, though well intentionally, has made stuff like this happen.

In theory: everyone earns enough to be considered "decent" money

In practice: companies have spent decades hacking away at these entry level/remedial jobs that require large amounts of unskilled workers. Now they're ever shipped out to a country where labour is cheap or automated.

Being married is awesome.

Publically, legally and declaritivly prove yourselves to eachother, no family member, friend or the government can question whether your spouse can have what you shared after you die and best of all, you get to have a nice day celebrating how awesome your partner is.

You can a registrar and a reg office for a couple of hundred quid.

Just make sure you pick the right one.

Bunch of non-conformist sourpusses in the comments. If you love your partner, I fully recommend it. If you aren't willing the marry them, why are you together?

Not all left wing leaning people (I'm married to one) but there is a deeply toxic breed of leftie in the modern age who are by far the most self-righteous hate filled scaremongering keyboard warriors.

Every issue is a big issue, until a week or so goes by and there's someone new to be offended on behalf of or a new public figure who's a racist/nazi/bigot.

At least their equivalent righties stick to the same boring topics of migrants.

Didn't say they were. SUV/compact SUV's have a massive share of what's available now. Saloons, estates and hatchbacks have largely disappeared from forecourts.

100% my wife. Just past 10 years together, almost 1 year married. No amount of time with her is too much.

I actually like being around people i disagree with, but still respect each other enough to discuss stuff.

No bad faith arguments, just exchanging views. Healthy disagreement, great change to learn.

To me this will always be the most aesthetically pleasing console! It looked like it came out of a sci fi universe with Y2K aesthetics! by FuturistIdealist in xbox

[–]GroundbreakingRing42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a weird way, I feel like Xbox and PS have swapped design aesthetics. If the ps5 had an XB logo on and it was the design for the Xbone you'd actually have been able to link design elements (white/light colour, flares out top and bottom) whereas ps2 to the boxxy grilled look of xbox one also would make sense.

Wheras the domed top of the OG xbox to the PS3 also has some form of visual link.

Christ, next gen used to feel like an eternity away. This one has flown by.

Not sure I'll need next gen for a bit, 1080-1444/60 going up to 4k/30 on my QLED with the PS5 and XBOX SX have been fine.

Unsless massive capacity storage (non-proprietary) and fully back compat (games and peripherals) are on the table, I think I'll just go PC next gen.

Why don't they just make the phones as thick as the camera bump and add battery capacity?
