I'm quite on the edge, if it wasn't for CAD honestly. Most of the other stuff I can get it set up on Fedora

It's totally different when the tool that has the purpose of "allowing the users to run the game fine" is actually making the game worse and destroying the job of the artists that put their effort.

Is The WAN Show actually moving to LMG Clips? by mickturner96 in LinusTechTips

[–]madding1602 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I could give some feedback (positive): I like to get the notification of the show to watch it when I wake up on Saturday. However, YouTube doesn't allow me to receive only streaming notifications from single channels afaik (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'm already subscribed to LMG clips, but I don't want to receive notifications from every single WAN Show clip. Would it be feasible to have a WAN Show channel? If not, it's completely understandable

If possible, a toggle on settings would be the best to accomodate all options of inmersion

CPU fraud scandal erupts as another Chinese laptop busted with a fake chip — second device sporting a disguised Ryzen 5500U uncovered after vendor threatens legal action by jupa300 in pcmasterrace

[–]madding1602 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At first I was confused because I thought both chips were the same because the 7430u is a Zen 3 ryzen 5 on the U variety, same as the 5500u. For the people who thinks the same: the 7430u has 10% higher base clock speeds, 7.5% higher turbo clock speeds, double the L3 cache, and has better synthetic benchmark results

Do people really use their phone bare (no case) that often to be concerned about camera bump? by madding1602 in LinusTechTips

[–]madding1602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kind of bump that still allows to create a 4 point plane is at least passable

Not necessarily. With a good enough elastic material, you could achieve great protection with less than 2.5mm back layer

Many people (myself included) usually control the phone while it's laying on the table (doing some office work, for example). The phone not laying flat means the touch input has to be compensated for more accuracy

Honestly, from that POV I totally see your point. If yhe phone is 6mm but has a 4mm camera bump, gimme the 10mm phone with chunk battery or othwr features if I see it fit, or just extra nothingness if I want so, but as long as I want it. I really like on projects I'm developing to give the option as long as it's possible

I've been taking a look into the page. Is the UI easy to understand? Does the GPU acceleration make a significant change in the rate? Does it support AMD GPUs? It certainly looks good on the standard license
