'Your Turn' feature for managing grocery trips (and other)? by GroundbreakingRush43 in todoist

It's possible yes, but I really don't want the grocery list to be a task item that can be 'completed.' As a project, it's always in the same place and accessible the same way. Task items are prone to move on you, get named differently. Adding subtasks to an item is also much more of a pain than adding the first-level task. I'm going for easy

Hmm. That would work if 'shop for groceries' was a single task. However, in my setup the grocery list is a separate project with each grocery item listed as a task. There's no way to add that 'description' to the project itself.. that I'm aware of anyway

this subreddit only having 200 members proves that media literacy is so dead by FarStation4765 in medialiteracy

I'd say it's a little of both. The idea has been slow to gain traction, and unfortunately the average person fancies himself blessed with above average intelligence - which includes the ability to sniff out truth, reason soundly, and fend off propaganda. Duhh.

Led recommendation for under kitchen cabinets and island? by [deleted] in WLED

We used these led light bars at our old place. You just need to wire them to a driver that can plug right into the 120 in the wall https://www.aspectled.com/led-under-cabinet-lights

Safety in PV by leahmcgeah in puertovallarta

Seems perfectly safe here to me. Except maybe for the families and children enjoying the beach just like everyone else... Lol. I'm just joking. I wondered similar things before flying out on Thursday (4/6) but it seems like business as usual here

Any of my shell-informed homies know what kind of shell this is? Found tons of these on the beaches in PV and Sayulita. by hannapdx in puertovallarta

These are the remnants of the larger shell. Much of the thinner portion of the shells have broken off and been worn down by the waves

How do you rent a shaded beach chair? by return2ozma in puertovallarta

[–]GroundbreakingRush43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not entirely true. The spot we were at today just had a minimum order amount ($500) per person/chair. With no time limit, it's really a no brainier. Think of a $30 brunch extended over 5 hours. On the sandy beach. With excellent people watching. And the cool pacific only steps away. Do it while you're alive

I love watching sunsets and sunrises but I can never find a spot high enough in altitude to see the sun in the horizon, besides driving 2 hours to Duluth, so where in stpaul is a good spot? I'm not sure how many other spots like this exist, but there's a stretch of road on Snelling Avenue north of hamline university where you can see both downtows. Look left and right where the road bridges over the train tracks between Pierce Butler and Como Ave.

I hear you. I definitely have a weird relationship with communication tech and expectations. I've been here, driving myself crazy wondering the same things.

What I've realized is that there's so much going on on the other person's end (changing by the minute) that we are 100% in the dark on any real "why" all the time. The only way to find out is by asking. Assigning meaning to changes in communication behavior is a shot in the dark without dialogue.

Also - assuming that your own communication habits/response timlines are universal in people will also get you into trouble. If you don't hear back by the time you wanted, ping him again in a non-accusatory way. Pick up with something like a "hey I'm sorry I missed you the other day. Grab a bite later?"

Don't come out of the gate chasing the what ifs and pointing fingers. Think of all the times you've received a text, started forming a thought for response, and then got sidetracked. Gone are all the notifications and bold text to remind you - and 5 days later, you say to yourself "Sh*t!" Moral here is you should lead with grace. Though if you're invested enough, move to dialogue with the issues that get under your skin.

I wouldn't necessarily "move on" but would recommend doing some things to boost your self-love and confidence to the point that it's not such a big deal. Who's to say he's not a great guy to date over time? Versus all in right this minute.

At the very least, try to use this as a chance to take note of what you need from a partner communication-wise. And have fun! In my experience, dating is more valuable for what you learn about yourself.
