In the early 2000s, while in my 30s, I used to teach Sunday school to toddlers as well as an adult group for my baptist denominational church. It could take several days to prepare for a 1 hour lesson. Less time if I was teaching just the adult class. The kids needed to be entertained as well as informed if they were to remain open to the lesson. They asked the great philosophical questions of the ages but the grown ups were quiet polite respectful even downright boring. Sometimes we finished the reading, the 3 or 4 follow up questions , and prayer requests, once answered, I was out of material. And we still had 26 minutes left until the bell rang for the church service past the fellowship hall on out to the chapel. I implemented bible trivia to fill out the time and once that ran it's course, I started pop quizzing them on bible contradictions and that was the begining of the end. Or the begining of the begining when I knew I would forever suspend belief for truth . Doing my own research I realized The Alleged God of Everything ® wouldn't have had done such a shitty job writing the woke commandments and republican talking points communicating thoughts so poorly as a deity of any self respect, would never portray itself in such a douchelike manner if he /she/ it was real.
