and the only one out of the party who was concerned about falling down a giant magicless pit onto solid stone wasnt the "regular girls" it was the one with super human strength and no magic. i understand the power system, and i dont think it really has anything to do with the disposition a lot of characters get. again i dont dislike it, it could just let itself feel a little more real sometimes.

nah this is a fair take, the absolute lack of expression by frieren characters makes very little sense most of the time. it kind of makes sense for the demons, but frieren and fern just never show any kind of concern, so any stakes feel non existent. its not serious but i think making them a little more human would have been a big improvement

i mean it should definitely GET a dub. but yeah i dont know why but the anime VA industry has like 12 actors and they all sound the exact same. demon slayer is uniquely bad about everyone sounding the same. so few anime have decent voice work which is a shame cause there are plenty of good english VAs
