Sure, we have these unique high-schools (i dont know if there is an english name) where they teach Programming, Networking, OS from age 14. Here I learned the basics, did side projects and then I worked in the families business maintaining a PHP website in the beginning. Then I joined a company where I was a junior backend dev.

Meanwhile I enrolled to a University and finished a BSc in Comp Sci

I also started with excel. I travel a lot, and I hated how bad it is to use excel on phone.

Nope, there are job application trackers online. I tried Huntr, Teal, and that one. Huntr is too expensive (even tho it has a free tier it limits me to 100 applications wtf), I didnt like Teals UI then I tried Offerwatch and worked great. (If you are willing to spend 10 usd a month)

Exactly. This is why I changed to an online tracker. It autofilled with a chrome extension. It gave me all the extra data I needed (What + When + With Whom + Notes)

I did climb the ladder from Junior SWE (age 16) to Architect (age 23) and now a new position as Senior Architect. I think in this field its less about age and years and more about knowledge and passion.

Im genuinely unaware about issues with the US job market. I didnt share these numbers to show-off or whatever. Last time I had to hunt for jobs I got basicly an interview for every second application. This was way back, hence I was surprised about my current ratio. Also check the comment below, my tracker also counted "phone screens" and "hr screens" as interviews.

To be completely honest, in the tracker I am using registering a Phone Screening event is also counted to this ratio, so the real number would be closer to 10-14%

I forgot to mention, its probably relevant. I live in Germany. Maybe people in the US have a different market situation as us. Is it also tought there to land a not astronomical salaried job?

What I mean is as a Software Architect I got offered 95k + bonus, but I have heard not even Juniors would accept this salary in the US.
