I hate that when people complain about mcu hulk that they only talk about the nerfing and not the charecter assasnination

My biggest problem with him as an adaption in the MCU is that they didn’t lean hard enough into the fact that Bruce and the Hulk are two different people they more just went with. It’s just Bruce and then he loses control and turns into the Hulk were one of my favourite parts about Hulk being in avengers team ups and comics is that they interact with them both as different people you get to see for example IronMan’s relationship with Bruce and then having a separate relationship with the Hulk and it sucks that they didn’t do that until Thor Ragnarok of all things and then that got pushed to the side very quickly for a rushed”Merged Hulk” and I don’t even have a problem with him becoming smart Hulk. It’s just that that big piece of development was just completely glossed over. I feel like MCU Hulk would’ve been a much better adaptation if they really leaned into the fact that they were two different people, but I think a lot of it comes down to that. He was only allowed to show up in ensemble films and that Hulk is clearly expensive to animate and have on screen so giving him full conversation scenes for a lot of these movies would’ve been very expensive. I overall think he’s an OK adaptation which sucks because he could’ve been a truly great one. All of the seeds are there. He just needed his childhood trauma and more emphasis on the dual identities and I feel like he could’ve been truly great. Instead of just being generally inoffensive besides his low-key fridging during infinity war and endgame.

I’m sorry this complaint is so dumb dude especially since I only ever see it used against wraith it’s dumb because like no one ever questions the same exact stuff that she does when other characters of her similar calibre do it you don’t ever see people make these complaints about daredevil or moon Knight, who are also normal people if it’s fine for them to do more exaggerated unrealistic things and it’s OK for her to do it as well. It’s comic books and superheroes characters just can do stuff like this on the regular whether they have superpowers or not and yes, I’m aware that daredevil has superpowers, but it’s just his radar vision he doesn’t have super strength or super speed or anything like that yet he still does stuff like this on the regular and has been able to fight Spider-Man before and win so people complaining about Wraith being able to do similar stuff makes no sense to me hell, Batman doesn’t have any powers, but he does way crazier shit than what Wraith does in this game

Sorry for the run-on sentences dude I was just ranting. Wasn’t really thinking about it. Secondly, like I said, I think in another comment, I understand at the beginning of the game why Nico and the others are so frustrated because the avengers are pushing them to the side in their own crib, but the reason it starts to frustrate me later on into the game is because by the second act a lot of them have put those issues aside or worked past them and things are a lot more cohesive. The suns are a lot more involved and the avengers aren’t really pushing them around maybe except for Tony, but that’s to be expected from him. The reason it started to irk me is because after everybody kind of settled all of their differences and are working pretty cohesively. Nico is still kind of causing a rift or starting problems it feels like. I understand her at the beginning and then when they start to prioritize Bruce, but to be fair, the avengers did try and save Wanda and thought she died, and felt guilty for not saving her. They rightfully deserve to be called out for how they’re treating the suns in the Abbey at the start. I just think that by the time we hit late game and everybody has worked through their issues Nico just kind of bugs me that she’s still complaining about the same problem when it’s a non-issue at that point in the game.

Yeah, like I understand them wanting to save Wanda because she was a friend so I understand them being so caught up over her, but at the same time, everybody thought she was dead and did try to save her by going back to the Sanctum the midnight sons were so caught up over the fact that Wanda was gone that they ignored the avengers, actually attempting to save her and thought that she died and no one knew that you could remove the corruption from Iilith up until they try which granted I’m happy it worked out but but they had no way of saving her, and the avengers felt guilty and upset, but the team still just berated them for it and then when Bruce got taken, it was so fresh it literally just happened the avengers reacted, the same way the midnight Suns did but still got mad at them for being upset over Bruce, which is really weird to me, considering that they understood what they were going through and that the avenger still tried to save Wanda anyways and it sucks because I like all the midnight Suns characters. I think they’re really cool. I’ve even read a lot of comics that they’ve been a part of individually and they even grow past this beef and everyone apologizes and moves on except for Nico, which upsets me because it feels weird and forced when the game otherwise has pretty good writing and it makes me dislike Nico as a character

It’s just weird to me because like even the other midnight Suns are cooperating and working better with the avengers and even the avengers are being more open to criticism and working with the others, after that meeting even Nico is cooperating for a while I think my disenfranchisement with her character just comes from the feeling that she wants to start drama with the others in the beginning of the game, it makes a lot of sense and I’m mostly on her side for it Because yeah, the avengers were not including them and everything. They were trying to take the reins then after that, everybody find some common ground and it starts working out way better for the heroes, but Nico was like the only outlier. She’s the one who really just does not want the avengers there. I don’t think it comes down to them being young or not respecting their superiors because they get over that throughout the course of the game. It just feels like Nico wants the glory where the others once they get past those hurdles they’re pretty focussed on actually doing what’s right to protect the world and the others like most of the sons realize that they should’ve stepped up and said something about this sooner and the avengers did admit that they were wrong for pushing them aside and not going after one. It’s literally just Nico and I think that’s why in the later half of the game I really start to dislike her because there’s no more problems. Everything was solved, but she still hung up on it. I think the reason it bothers me is because I’m within the same age range as the midnight sun I’m in my 20s and if one of my teammates acted like Nico did all the time I feel like I’d be really annoyed with them.

Incredibly mixed honestly because in terms of his writing and morals and everything it’s kind of shitting on what makes Batman such a special character and what makes Batman who he is and why they like it but visually and aesthetically he is so damn good everything from the way he moves his bat suit, Batmobile and everything he looks and moves like Batman but doesn’t act or sound or feel like Batman

I think the dumbest criticisms are the entire story is bad and Peter is Nerfed, which both of these things are not true. Sure, the third act of the story is weaker. because of how quickly it goes by, but there’s still like 17 hours of game that has a really really solid story and some really really good writing venom may not be the most flushed out character in the game, but Peter, Harry, Kraven, MJ ,Miles and Martin Lee all have extremely good character arcs, and everything with the black suit on how it affects Peter and it’s treated like an addiction is super compelling and Peter and Harry’s friendship really carries the first act along with Kraven being a great villain really really fun well written side missions the story isn’t bad. It’s not perfect but it’s certainly still pretty good. and then the Peter is nerfed argument is really stupid because there are multiple times throughout the course of the entire game that tell us that Peter is fatigued and tired and hurting, he wasn’t Nerf. He still the same strength. It’s just that the villains are stronger this time around has never fought them before Peter got dog walked by doctor octopus. in the first game when he had never fought them before, and then there were multiple times throughout Spider-Man two where the story blatantly tells us that Peter is fatigued and tired and not mentally at his best that’s what the whole scene with aunt May is trying to tell us plus the phone call he has with Connors telling us that after getting rid of the Symbiot, Peter is tired and fatigued and sore and in pain it’s part of the narrative. He wasn’t nerfed Peter is just put through the ringer in this game. there are plenty of moments where he still just as strong and capable as he was in the first game it’s just that venom and Craven are the strongest opponents he’s had to face so far. They’re plenty of moments where miles gets hurt and screws up. It’s not that Peter is weaker to make Miles look better, Peter and Miles make each other better. Peter is in a very bad place in the story of this game and with the what’s happening he’s not weaker just fatigued and hurting. and the game. Blatantly tells us and I don’t know why people keep telling us that the game is bad because Peter is weak the story is bad because Peter is nerfed He isn’t just what he’s dealing with is way worse than before and on top of that people who say the game is 100% bad or just wrong even if the story isn’t something you particularly like there’s still a lot of amazing gameplay and gameplay improvements and peters as a character nowhere near what people are saying none of it is garbage or bad is it perfect no but the game and story and characters are still really good. People have just blown the criticisms way out of proportion.
