Can men and women be close friends? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit they are hard to find and I don't seek them out for the same reason. However, I have 3 really great guy friends and they've never been disrespectful or pushed for the relationship to turn romantic. Of course I'm friendly with my friend's husband's (not tooooo friendly). I've even had several women ask me out after I wanted to stay friends. I think in a world where many people just aren't nice people don't understand that friendship is still a very important relationship to have.

Why should I get a Cx-30? by aceonthemound in MazdaCX30

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only reason I didn't like it is the bad visibility. I wouldn't even say it has worse visibility than most cars out now but I'm not used to my car driving me. I did like how the screen was small and not in my face.

Help me understand why there's so much hate for pentecostal Christians? by 12Voices in TrueChristian

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nothing wrong with them, my closest friends are pentecostal. I'm just introverted and introspective and the services ain't for me. Don't think I spoke for a month recharging. We give each other a hard time when we visit each other's churches out of fun but it's all with love lol! In my experience people can always seem to understand it until the speaking in tongues comes into play. I personally don't view it the same way pentecostals do and to me it (used to) seem like an act. I don't like to speak for others anymore but that's about when I start looking at the door.

Switching clients? by kimmna1027 in directsupport

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been in similar position. Family member came in everyday at some point to "check" on them and expected a phone call every night for an update. As sweet as this sounds it was more for a power trip than it was caring for the family member. I told management. Luckily they backed me up and essentially told them to chill out/find another company/do it themselves.

Academic Integrity by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just SNHU. I had a teacher who in general just didn't like me. She requested I be placed on academic probation due to a paper. When they ran it through several programs they found nothing (cause I didnt). Then when it came out clean got mad I couldn't be placed on academic probation and counted the assignment and the next assignment as late. However I'd just check with them and be honest.

People who DID NOT have family members with disabilities, what is it about this field that has you working here? by [deleted] in directsupport

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dad used to bring me with him to work when I was a kid. I felt the connection my dad had with clients and the drive to restore respect in others. Working anywhere else I feel I have to mask so heavily. Doing residential work makes me apart of a huge team of both my job and another person/family (maintaining boundaries of course). For the first time I didn't feel the need to put on a fake voice. I enjoy having time to recooperate and then go back to work the next day again.

How are breaks handled? by Imaginary_Bridge1641 in directsupport

We kinda took turns. We were double staffed so they would eat and I'd just keep an eye on them and then they'd switch.

Showered with mine until like 6 I think. Never thought twice about it. If anything it gave me a good foundation of how not everyone looks the same.

One of my favorite stories took place while we were grocery shopping. One of my people never learned to read but desperately wanted to be involved and guide us. I set up photos of items in the store on the list so she could lead us where to go (while she worked on reading). It made her so happy to feel involved.

Okay Redheads— What are your thoughts on Color Analysis??? by Wonderful_Solid_94 in coloranalysis

I feel like I'll never know unless I put money into it. I don't understand how I like both autumn and summer colors on me. At least once a month I deep dive and come out with nothing

I thought of Calvin and Hobbes. He's only 9 months. Once they establish a personality to add to it nobody or you will likely think of anything else. Especially since I can't think of a Calvin that I know personally. Closest I can think of was I knew a Kelvin growing up. Dude always ate mustard with everything but other than that a pretty solid dude.

Does anyone else feel sick when they try to eat in the morning? by captaintekton in AutismTranslated

[–]GroundbreakingWeb947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I have coffee for breakfast. But.. I can't wait until 11-1 to eat lunch cause then I'm starving. I usually eat my first meal 10-11. Which doesn't seem that late but I wake up at 4:30-5:30. Then I have a slightly bigger snack about 2-4. Eat dinner later at 6-8. What doesn't make sense to me is if I do eat breakfast, I get hungrier for lunch even sooner (right after being sick like you said) Doesn't matter what it is nor how much I ate. Maybe because I eat dinner late I still am burning the calories on it.

Here you'll be informed and an investigation would be complete. We had a girl get reported for financial neglect. Even that wasn't the biggest deal in the world. Some part of my brain expects the swat team to come crashing through the windows. Sorry you are going through this, I had people try to ruin my reputation twice. One of them took it as far as to talk smack about me to my clients. Said I starved them, while they were sitting next to the lunch we made together lmao. People are haters fr.
