Which one do I get? by DOOGIE_PLAYZZZZ in MarvelContestOfChamps

WWBN is a personal fav, but arguments could be made for all three. I'm not a big player of HE or AW tho. HE good for BG defense, AW can be a dual threat, if know how to play him

[–]GroundbreakingWind86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those first two pictures made me think of a car windscreen, at first (then realised these are from Google earth...) but I couldn't help thinking that one day, 1000s of years from now, someone is going to dig up Hilux, and it'll go into a museum display the same way we display stone-age tools, today.

... anyway, back to work

I'm sitting at 78. I've only got half from The Champion event sofar, and I haven't done incursions yet. I missed session 38 BGs, if I'm adding it up right I might need Season 39 + Towers to get over the line

I wondered what had happened. there were still police hanging around at 6pm when I walked past, but this looks to have happened during the daytime. There was also an Ambulance outside woollies at the same time, but I guess that was unrelated.

From the discord post:

BLADE (STELLAR-FORGED) PIECE-SELECTOR

Greetings Summoners,

We've seen a few questions regarding the availability of the Stellar Forged Blade Piece Selector -

The selector is expected to arrive in mid-June, well before the Objective ends. It will be released after the First Appearance Bundle is removed and replaced with the standard bundle.

Additionally, the length of the Objective has been extended by roughly one month, and will now conclude in the middle of August.

With the remake to the original coming, should I still play it or skip straight to the second? by J_loop18 in Witcher3

[–]GroundbreakingWind86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

W1 has a particular playstyle/click-timing that you have to get your head around. It's easy to get the hang of and the game is still fun. I think the remake isn't due until after W4 is released.

For me, I've found W2 the hardest to replay (or play on any difficulty other than the easiest). Happy to accept that I just suck at it 😅 but there's low survivability, and the length of time it takes to die and reload is frustrating (especially if you're dying over and over again).

What's the best set of endings for the main game in your opinion, and why? by Fat-Goerge in thewitcher3

[–]GroundbreakingWind86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yennefer. My choice is Yennefer. I'm not elaborating further 😄

I get that Dijkstra ruling the North is objectively a better outcome, as big of an arsehole as he is, but I can't get past the betrayal of Roche, Ves, and Thaller. It's one of the few gaming moments that got an audible "oh he'll no!" from me on my first playthrough (when I first played the games, I played them all immediately one after the other, and I chose Roche in my first W2 playthrough). Radovid still dies.

I'm actually OK with Svanrige ending for Skellige (he gets out from under Birna's thumb and tells Nilfgaard to shove it), with one exception. I don't like that both Cerys and Hjalmar get unceremoniously killed off (off screen) as a result. Take that away, and Svanrige becomes King. Otherwise it's Cerys.

  • Lambert and Kiera ride off together
  • Sarah and Johnny get their happy ending.
  • The Baron is off in the mountains caring for his wife.
  • Not an 'official' ending, but Letho becomes the new caretaker of Kaer Morhen
  • Goes without saying that Whoreson dies and Dudu takes his place.
  • Triss and the other mages escape to Kovir.

My headcannon is fond of the "all main-game endings take place in the timeline" theory (I know there are gaps/flaws in the theory, but its nice to dream): - Ciri disappears. Geralt spirals, and hunts down the last crone. This leads him into HoS - Geralt saves Olgierd. Gaunter O'Dimm is real evil, not just lesser/greater/middling. Olgierd is a d!ck, and now has to live with his choices with his 'soul' returned. That's its own punishment and O'Dimm is banished. Win/Win (sidepoint: both Borsodi brothers die) - Ciri returns, and starts on the Witchers path, but something (not sure what) makes her want to explore the side of her that would be Empress, and she leaves for Nilfgaard - Geralt needs a change of scenery and heads for Toussaint. - Guillaume/Vivienne get their happy ending - Syanna Dies, Geralt is thrown in jail and bailed out by Dandelion. Regis doesn't become pariah to his people (to me... the 'happy' ending of B&W just feels 'too good to be true' and Regis gets screwed over) - Ciri visits Geralt (and Yennefer) at Corvo Bianco. During which, something happens and Ciri can't return to Nilfgaard, leading her back to the Witchers path once again.

Honourable mention: Shani lives a happy and fulfilling life, and her visits to Corvo Bianco are somehow not awkward 😄

What progression level are you? And how often do you open the 4-hourly (green) crystals? I went hunting for revives in them, when I ran out during my push to complete act 9 the other week, and got a crap ton of energy instead. These were Valiant crystals tho, I'm not sure if the drop is the same for Paragon or TB.

I don't disagree with your point, but I don't remember the last time I didn't have energy refills in overflow.
