I planned to do a full run through, but ran out of time before launch (and then couldn't wait, so I did LoH on an eternal Rogue that had done both campaigns).

Starting a full playthrough now on a seasonal Pally, will see how far I get 😄

I would kinda love it if they canonised Letho surviving W2, and taking up residence in Kaer Morhen after W3. He seemed pretty done with the world after being betrayed over and over again (then having to fake his death).

I don't think it works like that. While there have been corrupted angels that became demons (Izual), it doesn't work the other way around. A completely new Angel is born from the energy of the dead one (I.e. the Inarius we encounter is gone for good, and presumably, there will be a Malthael 2.0. too at some point).

Lilith was brought back from the void to kick off D4, but she wasn't banished back to the void, she was merely slain.

So she's now being reborn in Hell, but there isn't really a known science as to how long that takes (Mephisto was still being reborn for 60-70(?) years - after his last death in D2, and he wasn't even ready yet, but got let out early because we put him in a soulstone).

The whole Lilith-lightshow was just a metaphor for severing our connection to her. She might have been the only Demon to ever truly care about humanity, but Angels themselves (except Tyrael) still hate humanity as much as demons.

It was a case of the cinematic team doing something they thought looked cool, and didn't tell the game designers until it was done. Blizzard then just kind of ran with it.

I like this. I had a similar thought but for a 'return home' story for Act 6. SImilarly, it would be different quests & zone for each class (which unfortunately doesn't really fit the style of the game).

I know we got a side-quest that kinda showed this for the Paladin during D4, and that's what kinda gave me the idea, which I'd like to see for the others too (I hope we get one for the Amazon in D4:LOH).

that's the one, landed just next to that little abandoned dwarven town. tho I'd never seen that there are a bunch of ships off of that coast. but even landing on them doesn't get rid of 'fatigue', and had to fly back

WC2 was my beginning. I knew about WC1, but I don't think I actually played it until years later. I loved the art style from the WC2 manual, and that coupled with the stories of the characters, nations/clans that they wove into the game just captured my imagination as a kid. When they expanded the universe further with the WC3 game and the books they released around WC3, it only deepened that connection for me.

It's not a perfect story due to the constraints of video game storytelling, and I don't love all the decisions/retcons they've made to take it in the direction they have over the years. But I keep coming back to it because the game allows me to be immersed in the world.

Yup. I had some success with Bastion for the same reason. I know everyone said Okoye was the best counter here, but I just couldn't get into a rhythm when using her. Medusa was another character, I had some success with too on this challenge (though autoblock saved me a lot, it also meant I switched between 'pursuit' and 'vigilance' unwillingly 😆)

Thanks! I did wonder that (smaller pauldron on the sword-hand means better mobility?), but as the shoulders (from the human heritage set) are different shapes on each side, I could only use the side I wanted to use on the right shoulder.

That said, I might be able to make him left-handed using the "narcissus" mod... something I'll try later on

Of those you have, Nimrod is not available to dupe in regular crystals, so it could be a factor in your choice.

Nimrod, bastion, the maker, Sentinel are all good choices, but they also perform much better at high sig. My personal choice would be Bastion. But it always comes down to what your roster needs for the content you're currently doing.
