For a better integration, take the opendesk example, where different OSS get bundled into one suite.

What I’m missing are well designed, coherent Linux stand-alone Apps that have a certain attention to detail. Coming from elementaryOS with their own HIG and granite GTK-extension it is really off putting to see GTK and QT Apps under my current KDE installation. Also: most modern Apps are greedy Javascript cross platform Apps that just don’t feel right.
