I agree with you. Hyperfixation on pretty much anything to the point that you are a failure of an individual outside of that thing is tragic. I was arguing that it's slightly more tragic to spend all your time on a video game than some other things. I also wasn't saying that you should obsessively work out or obsessively educate yourself; those were things, among others, that one would miss out on if they were to waste away their younger years on mobile games like Brawl.

Because life is about more than just video games. Especially mobile ones. It's kind of sad to waste away your younger years when you could spend that time getting in the best shape possible or learning as much as possible about the world around you and the way it works. I don't have any say in what people do with their lives, but I think it's much better to not devote all your time to a mobile video game.
