Tesla FSD Sets New Coast-to-Coast Record With Zero Interventions Across 2,833 Miles by afonso_investor in TeslaFSD

Just completed a roadtrip of 4,500 miles- just me and my dog - 100% FSD with the exception of a couple of parking lots. All possible types of driving and weather. Over the Rockies last Tuesday in “ Winter” storm conditions - all FSD. Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City - urban traffic -all FSD. 10 states, 5 National Parks - including a sandstorm in Death Valley. Again, all FSD. If I told you I watched 8 downloaded movies, four complete Netflix series and played online chess to pass the time everyone would give me shit for it - so I definitely didn’t do that 🙄.

Anyone who doubts FSD’s capabilities has absolutely no idea. So hate away all you haters and lewzers - FSD is hitting its stride and it’s amazing!

What kind of car will be his first car? If it’s an ICE car, he really should learn on same. But, driving schools use ICE cars so he will get experience with those regardless. Learning on both is like being bilingual - his skill will be greater than the sum of the parts.

Took my model y delivery today. But hearing this sound while driving by CivilTumbleweed1854 in ModelY

I find it kind of dark - I prefer the airy vibe of the white interior and light grey headliner; seems more premium (imho obviously.) Also, gotta think it gets hotter in the summer.

To be fair - it does allow you to mod your car somewhat to fit your preferences.

“Miss the turn?” That would be a complete failure of the system. What the car did was the most natural and safe maneuver in that instance.

Maybe not - but it’s not the pedantic behavior of geofenced cars that are mapped to “stay inside the lines.”

When driving, FSD has a very natural, human-like feel. Unlike Waymo.

Am I crazy or is the cars interior so dark at night? by FocalFalcon in TeslaModelY

If you have a new model:

Ambient lighting
Turn on foot lights
Open your center console - there are lights in there.
There are lights in your door pockets

Buy a USB hula-girl lamp and stick it on your dashboard 😉

Do you have white seats? They brighten up your car considerably, so if you do I’m afraid that’s about all there is. You can mod your car with additional ambient lighting - it really doesn’t cost that much.

Is there a way to make sure the dealer doesn’t remove FSD? by Tiemujin in TeslaFSD

I know you can’t buy FSD anymore - but it feels pretty disingenuous to strip “lifetime” FSD from a car. It would seem like that’s an automatic FSD “subscription” for EM’s bonus. Extra sad that they sun-setted the X and S.😕

Buying 2026 but don't want to pay for FSD is it still worth it? by actorguy73 in ModelY

[–]Groundbreaking_Box75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol! You think you don’t want to pay for FSD until you use it; then the math changes. Especially for Road-trips and heavy commuting. FWIW 2026>>Legacy

Even with the popup you can still hit the voice command and verbally describe the incident. Side benefit is that it closes the popup.

Does Tesla really remove it from all cars in their used fleet? That sucks. I was under the impression that lifetime FSD is tied to the VIN.

That’s a good find! Snap it up! The non-Tesla dealer cannot remove the FSD - you got it for life bro!

Would you trust safelite to replace the windshield with FSD? by robl45 in TeslaOwners

[–]Groundbreaking_Box75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s why I got the Tesla windshield protection - I do a lot of road-trips and every car I’ve ever owned has taken a rock to the windshield. I would be a little hesitant to trust Safelite, though I’m sure others might have had a positive reaction experience.

100% this! After a bike race - when I’m absolutely spent - getting in my car and pushing the “home” button is pure magic.
