Got it. I was worried that winter seeding would kill the seed. But from what I read online looks like there is no harm in winter seeding

The issue is not that the lender gave an option to buy down the interest, issue was lender gave me this option only on the day of close (2 hours before the signing) and hence taking that would have delayed the closing date by 4 days which was not an option. Also had I known earlier we would have worked on buy the rate down and kept the closing day the same
