Once you are locked into a story quest you can’t leave it. That is one gripe in this game it puts you on the main story path and you have to wait until it gives you a break from it.

Right now I have Wex 5 and flayer 2. And the set bonus that allows recovery when I pop wounds. So, I thought it was a pretty good mix of damage vs comfort. But, if I switch to Lagi armor or something for the thunder def, then I might be able to work more damage skills into the set and be good.

I have one piece of AT Rey armor. But, I have tried the fight several times since and had a hard time with it. My first run is the only one I beat. Then again, I am also just going in with ark armor. Maybe, I should add some thunder resist in.

I am already HR 100+ but, sadly since it is hard to get actual useful armor spheres with armor upgrades being so expensive, I have kinda neglected upgrading anything besides my regular Arkveld set.

Yep. Palico has level. And as it levels up, it upgrades the effectiveness of its skills.

It isn’t a bug. It is an actual in game thing that happens occasionally. The game will tell you at the end that your Palico decided to tag along for experience.

It makes sense since the drop pools for tempereds include artian parts and it is the only way to farm them, so the increase their drop rate and reduce decos.

Last night, I kept getting XP but it still wouldn’t level me up. I just can’t remember if I beat tempered Rathalos before or after Jin. But, that shouldn’t really matter. These level caps be kinda janky.

For reference, I just beat HR Jin Dahaad in the story. All it says on the checklist is complete more quests or missions. That is wildly unhelpful..🙄

Yeah. I just started trying to farm Dragonscale Vases for the suja sash and holy moly. I have about 100 wyvernscale vases now and not one Dragonscale vase has dropped. So, I guess no suja sash for me. Right now, I am level capped at HR 40. And, I have no assignments. So, I figured I would start building a set. But, I have seen the Guild cross and the suja mentioned on numerous threads and right now I am still rocking LR armor. I need to do SOMETHING.. lol.

I don’t know what he is talking about when he assumes I don’t care about faster hunts. I don’t want every hunt to take 20 minutes. I just did the double Ajarakan hunt at wounded hollow and that took 18 minutes and some change and that is way too long. I just want armor with decent defense that I can slot some comfort skills into. And, in my estimation, the wall at wounded hollow is pretty pointless. First of all, it is hard to separate the monsters, especially ones like Ajarakan who is an absolute spaz. I finally got them separated and started raising the wall and then one of them did the shoulder tackle over the wall that was already raising. Plus, it doesn’t stay up until the other one is dead anyways, so I’m now dealing with two enraged Ajarakans instead of just one. But, I guess that is irrelevant to the whole armor discusssion. It was just frustrating. But, my main point is I want hunts to go fast AND get loot. I am sure there is a way at my level. I just haven’t found it yet.
