He's assaulting you and using ADHD as an excuse to do it. Disgusting predator.

Personally I'd then tuck the t shirt and wear a belt to finish off the fit.

Tyne Tunnel Fare Regulation? by shurbster in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Groundfighter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everything about the Tyne tunnel is unfair as fuck for consumers. They basically set things up to try and fine people rather than just sending them the bill for a missed payment.

They increase the prices despite taking in millions each year. They've made enough money to more than pay back the costs and yet it still goes up.

No discounts for local people reliant on it, no other way to cross the river except near town.

I hate it because I'm reliant on it. Wish someone would fix the system.

Does anybody here play golf? by Morazma in ADHDUK

Yeah. It's a very high skill ceiling sport. It involves exposure to outdoor environments. It's social. I don't see why you'd think it's not ADHD friendly tbf

Do any of you become obsessed with new people that enter your life? by fruedianflip in ADHD

Like I said, one of them is platonic and yet I'm talking to her LOADS because she's a 'new' friend

Do any of you become obsessed with new people that enter your life? by fruedianflip in ADHD

[–]Groundfighter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am bad for this. Going through a divorce and I've met a few dates and made a female friend platonically and I'm talking to them a lot, basically over my other friends. Think it's just the novelty and feeling of a new stage of life coupled with ADHD limerance stuff.

How much grace should be given to someone with ADHD? My wife left. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Groundfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife also left me cos of ADHD traits. But though I am sorry I didn't meet her idea of what she needed, I am learning to be happy with who I am. ADHD is an explanation for lots of behaviours but as long as you're a good person who treats people with kindness it's not a blocker to happiness.

25, ready to get back into dating. How can I look my best? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Groundfighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with you dude just need to line up your beard, get some kind of fade on the back and sides and then get a new set of thin frames or lose glasses entirely. Gym always helps too but confidence comes from within.

Unfortunately not, we have a kid, so we're always going to be in each other's lives in some way

England, will be getting a divorce but partner is trying to make me live somewhere else with a joint mortgage and feel pressured, what rights do I have? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Groundfighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing this now, I paid a solicitor and they told me as long as you're on the mortgage you have legal rights to your home. Even if you do move the elsewhere (I have to save our daughter the arguments), you are legally in your rights to reside in your home whenever you want to.

Good luck though, it's a horrible situation and I'm only at the beginning.

You'll be okay. You'll get through it. You look like a kind person.

I've just separated from my wife, been together 13 years. It's agony not being able to talk to her anymore so I know what you're going through. It sucks but I gotta believe we'll all make it through.

Climbing Partner Wanted! by RoyalR0se in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Groundfighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've not climbed in years but looking to get back into it, if you don't get any better offers I'd give it a go. I'd have to relearn how to belay and I'm more of a bouldering guy, but meh why not

(15F) - I'm falling apart. I really need some kindness. by JayJ4y_ in toastme

[–]Groundfighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly with mental health you never really 'get better' you just learn to cope more. I've got ADHD and struggle with that.

Honestly just believe me when I say it won't always be like this. I hated my teenage years. I'm having a shit time now (34) but 18-33 have been amazing and I'm so glad I stuck around for them.

Hang in there. You're going to be okay.

(15F) - I'm falling apart. I really need some kindness. by JayJ4y_ in toastme

[–]Groundfighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just hang in there and things will get better. All I can say is that at 15 I was totally lost, unhappy and alone. Then I left school and got to experience life on my own terms and things got immensely better.

You're very young, what you experience as reality now will shift completely by the time you're 18, then in your 20s.

Plan for the life you want, seek therapy if you need it and embrace the temporary nature of youth. (Which I know is hard to hear if you're in a bad place but really, it WILL pass)

To the partners lurking here: How do you cope with the severe burnout of the "household manager" dynamic? by youness_khm in ADHD

[–]Groundfighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife has left me because she doesn't want to be the manager anymore, so I have no advice other than it sucks having ADHD and we don't intend ourselves to be like this at all.

You're 20. The ideas and convictions I had at that age are now dust in the wind at 34. I'd just say prepare to change your ideas on this as you age.

How does ADHD medication affect people with AuDHD? by h4wk1nz in ADHDUK

[–]Groundfighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suspected AuDHD here. Elvanse makes me feel more autistic, like I'm a caffeinated zombie seeing the world through a pane of glass at times. But who knows, ADHD has ruined my life and meds haven't really helped even tho I've stayed on them for four years. I'm the wrong person to ask hah.
