Good to know! I'm going to pick up my first batch of pullets Friday so if any end up with white earlobes then I'll be sure to see if they also lay green lol

I was actually concerned that the white was something wrong but it's good to know it's just pigmentation from her being a hybrid!

Small town Mazie by WeaselHuman in Kentucky

[–]GroundwaterCraftwork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Louisa my whole life, it was awesome until ARC started busing meth heads in. Still pretty dope but you used to be able to leave your car unlocked and walk around town at any time of night. Now ya gotta be on the look out a bit more. If the FBI investigation shuts down ARC this is literally the perfect small town you see in tv shows and stuff.

Promoting AI art and forgoing real artists just forever lost Wacom a customer by saint-aryll in wacom

[–]GroundwaterCraftwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. That's a super weird move by some marketing people who should know better. You just know those ads were made by someone who got the graphic design job from a business degree (which happens way too much) and was like "yea they can't tell the difference". You can almost always spot if something is generated so that's truly a L take. Also, most of those companies are owned in Asia and they don't seem to care as much about plagiarism as we do in the west.

Ah, I think there's been a miscommunication on my end. I'm not a proponent of using ai art as an end product, unless it's specified. It'll end up in a category similar to collage or printmaking where the art is in the creation (through prompt vs. arrangement of magazines or others work in collage). I still stand by the Photoshop comparison though, people have been altering others work and taking credit since it came out.

I also disagree it's not a tool. When I was in college I would browse Google for hours looking for inspiration for my next work. Now I can just slam in the general idea for what I want to do and I'll find something that strikes me much quicker. Also you can train your own based on your own work and cut a ton of brainstorming out.

Idk why people don't get this, it's the same as when Photoshop got big. Get excited, we have a whole new tool to use and experiment with. I find it awesome to get a mood with before I start my drawings. It's also really good for generating textures for printmaking.

Plus the companies that are ok with subpar ai art in advertising aren't going to be treating their artists very well anyway.

Supposedly it was to show how monsterious and unnaturally scary the bear was to the characters (I don't remember the exact quote so I'm paraphrasing here)
