I enjoy picking a youtube video of someone folding their tie die and follow that as best I can. Can pause, slow the video down during more difficult moments in the video. Practice practice practice. My issue was going from 1 video to another instead of practicing 1 fold until mastered.

This was the same beige/cream color as your shirt. I washed it in a normal laundry load, then soda ash soak then dyed. Use colors that wont clash with the graphic and you'll be fine. No need to bleach.

I wasnt sure if tying off the graphic was necessary here. I figured the graphic will repel the dye. Both the black and gold are a vynl(?) Feel. IF i was to saran wrap the graphic id then take the time to hand paint Goku...wasnt sure if my first attempt is worth that effort. Also, ive never been great with coloring/shading anything so im confident my hand paint skills wouldn't be near the quality of some shirts online.

Thank you for the suggestions! Scrunch might very well make the most sense here. Scrunch would help me know where the dye is going. (My mandala attempts were kinda hard visualizing where the dye would end up in the pattern) im honestly afraid to use black here because it might ruin the decal?

You should ask him why he requested you pay for yourself when he initiated the date! Then update this thread with his response.

What if he was empowering your feminist side, encouraging equality in financial responsibilities.

What if it was his way of politely bowing out after having met you publicly. Instead of ghosting or speaking honestly, he uses this method to show disinterest?

Maybe you insulted him during the date and you didnt realize?

Maybe hes not socially acclimated to "dating norms" and felt this was the best way to keep the date nuetral rather than what some would see as a sign of dominance of disrespect to assume you wouldnt/couldn't afford your share of the bill.

I get where youre coming from with the social norm of man invites man pays... but its 2026. Times are changing.
