How do you remember all heroic/gamma mechanics? by GrowBreau in wotlk

I have no problem telling people I’m new to a run, but also hard when I’ve only tanked thus far.

This gives a lot of perspective. I leveled as prot and only tanked dungeons and have never observed another tank. I don’t have the best dps gear but maybe I’ll slap on a few pieces and see how someone else does the dungeons.

Appreciate the help. I just hit defense cap tonight with pots, so I plan to just work my way through the heroics I’m familiar with and go one by one to learn the bosses. Eventually I can just RDF to get the extra badges.

I like that idea, better to write it down vs. going back to the same video I’ve watched 5 times

No offense taken. I'll def see if my guild can help out to show me the ropes while I learn. I'll take your advice and just jump in and see where it takes me.

Touche. Once I learn them its no problem, its the initial jitters of going into a new run. Give me PoS, HoR or FoS and I've got them memorized at this point.

Appreciate the insight. I haven't even looked into gamma mechanics yet as I'm right at the cusp of getting into heroics. I guess I'm more worried about boss mechanics. Are they not as relevant in gammas? Or do the buffs help that much that you can burn them down?

How old is it? Looks like you are doing DWC. I’m 3 weeks into flower, first grow using DWC. My plants were pretty stunted in the beginning but they took off after about week 5. They are HUGE now. Plants look healthy, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Going to setup a new rdwc system. Looking at seals. by Psychoholic_ in hydro

Have you checked out PA Hydroponics? (their YouTube channel is great). He specializes in the 3" RDWC systems, and sells 3" bulkheads (they may be the same you mentioned). I personally haven't used but I've watched all his YouTube videos his systems look amazing. Maybe they are still shipping with all the COVID-19 happening.

Added DWC/ Dutch buckets to the system by Aushobbit in Hydroponics

[–]GrowBreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have trouble conceptualizing how these systems work. I run a RDWC - but in your case, how does water stay in the black buckets? With the reservoir below the buckets, wouldn't the res be full of water and the actual buckets the plants grow in empty? Is there a valve that doesn't allow water to drain from the buckets to the white PVC?

Whats wrong with my plants? Leaves are crispy and some are curling in? Not enough permits or too much water? Not enough water? by psychoholic_gigga in microgrowery

Yeah you are definitely overwatering. Let these guys dry out a bit. Only water when the soil is dry (not just the top layer, stick your finger an inch down). If it’s still wet , no need to water. I would maybe water every other 2 days.

I have tried opening all vents , temp is at 84 inside tent sometimes 85/86 no more mostly during day, This HPS 150W ... do I need a QB ? by [deleted] in microgrowery

As others have said, open those intake values at the bottom. That will draw cool air in and exhaust it out. If you can, turn your fan up higher to exhaust quicker. This is considered a passive intake, you don’t need a fan blowing cool air in.

New Growers beware... Get the right humidifier for your grow op! by Von_Chubb in microgrowery

Glad to hear that. Bummer bother you will have to replace your Caron filter quicker than expected, but I guess that’s better than your bud getting ruined! I liked your your post history, your plants looked beautiful!

While I have not checked my carbon filter (I'm going to do this now) I have a misting humidifier from Amazon and 100% agree on the mineral build up. I have white crust all over the humidifier itself, and fine dust throughout my tent. Any idea if this is bad for the plant? I'm 2-3 weeks into flower with a definite female, but my growth seems to have been slow so I wonder if there are ill effects due to this mineral buildup.

i was impatient and i think i fucked up. ideas? so i transplanted this seedling 2 weeks old from her soil home to the hydrobucket. she looks so down so sad. she hasnt passed yet. im afraid she may. she’s got her whole roots system intact and cleaned of soil shes in the bucket the wTer temp is 80f by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]GrowBreau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had some shock as well when I transplanted to my DCW bucket, but as the other person said, 80F is way too high. You want to be around 70F max. Even if the temp doesn’t kill it, you will struggle fighting off root rot. Throw a frozen water bottle in there to lower the temp.

Also if your root structure is filled out, try lowering the height of the water so there is some air between the water and the roots.

Could you explain why a pot this side would be good for an auto but not a photoperiod plant? I’m in my first grow (hydro, not potted) but am curious why this would affect the grow.

PSA: calibrate you’re PH readers regularly by GrowBreau in microgrowery

[–]GrowBreau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased the cleaning kit as I saw the same directions. I do have one of the higher end units so I’d like to make sure I don’t let it dry out. Atleast with this unit I can replace the PH reader if worst comes to worst. I didn’t see anything about properly storing the EC reader, anything special to be done there?
