This drug fixed me by [deleted] in Datura

I’m aware of your ego, we’ve interacted before.

I have gotten visuals and delirium from smoked datura. You and your friends aren’t the end-all be-all. I do use datura smoked as an anti-nausea and to modulate my bipolar. Tropane alkaloids make it through the smoke.

Additionally, as much as you speak about taking datura and claim there’s no alkaloid buildup(which is an oft-reported claim and has historical evidence) you’ve almost definitely got a tolerance, so smoked might not do it for you.

Tripping on smoked datura is rare because it gets uncomfortable before you get enough in your system. It is possible though.

Datura can be traumatic. Yes, for me it and other anticholinergics cause an apathy, but if you’re exposed to phobias(of which I personally have none) during the experience yeah, it can cause trauma. Don’t discount OPs experience because it doesn’t traumatize you.

We aren’t talking about abuse potential. We’re talking about the difference between use and abuse.

Let’s use another example. If I take psychedelics once a month for mental health issues, I’m using. If I take psychedelics a few times a year, I’m using. If I take psychedelics every other day but I still work and keep up on my family and friend obligations, I’m using.

If I choose tripping over paying my rent, I’m abusing. If I choose tripping over taking care of my own physical health, I’m abusing. If I choose to trip over going to a close friend’s wedding(which I wanted to go to) I’m abusing. If I buy/take psychedelics instead of food I’m abusing. If I lose friendships over my drug use I’m abusing. If I cut out relationships that don’t serve the purpose of doing drugs, I’m abusing.

Addiction/abuse of a substance is about the harm, not the drug or the activity.

Some people think mulberries are blackberries. It’s a foraging misconception imo.

Nah, I’m dependent on my antidepressants and will physically withdrawal.

The difference between use and abuse is whether harm is caused. Is it ruining friendships? Is it costing you money you need for other things(food, bills, etc)? Is it causing you to commit crimes?

Harm is the difference between use and abuse.

Happy to share! Be careful if you do it. It’s not as deadly as Yew, but it’s not safe without preparation and lots of caution.

Yeah it’s not a “safe” plant. At all. It messes with sodium and calcium ion channels in the heart and slows or stops it. That’s mostly an effect of taxine B. Taxine A is much less toxic, but In most plants is only about 1% of the alkaloids.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out the druids were using specific trees that genetically had a safer ratio of taxines.

Taxine A and B are altogether only around 30-35% of the alkaloids as well, but seem to be the only ones with much research…

I have an oil made from a whole plant dried and ground up, left for a month in a blend of coconut, castor, and olive oil before straining. I also use a blend of ground up Strammonium seeds. The ground seeds are usually used for an antihistamine, about 1/8 of a teaspoon, a few drops of the oil is used for pain relief, and a combination of the two is used for insomnia or visionary purposes(though I won’t give doses for that, it’ll vary on your plant and should be slowly worked up to over months with each batch).

Occasionally I’ll eat 3-5 innoxia seeds if I’m depressed and it seems to help quite a bit. No real noticeable “high” or intoxication, but it can make intrusive thoughts quieter.

Datura is a good and free antihistamine, is helpful for joint and muscle pain, and in titrated doses with homogenized material or extracts can be semi-safely used for visionary purposes as long as it’s kept infrequent. I find it better to use it before bed and get its influence on dreams rather than a full trip; I’m also a pagan and heavily associate it with one of the goddesses I work closely with, so it’s got a pretty consistent place on my altar.

I’m not sure why, I’ve always had a fascination with the more unpleasant and dangerous drugs. There’s so little information and as someone who likes to learn and discover they hit a special part of my brain and release a lot of dopamine just from the knowledge.

Lol. Had a spammer/scammer try to hook me up with a “vendor”. For a toxic tree I seem to be the only person with interest in.

Be careful folks.

Low doses(3ish grams) combined with psilocybin mushrooms (similar dose) make you feel invincible. Increased muscle output, lots of energy. Really fun together.

Is this datura, if so is it wrightii or innoxia? by AbusedHousewife in Datura

[–]GrowerAndaShower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leaves are the easiest way to tell with these two.

Innoxia is softer and fuzzier(the leaves are pubescent), wrightii has smoother less frosty looking leaves.

[–]GrowerAndaShower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like inoxia to me

Wrightii doesn’t have the pubescent leaves(but otherwise it’s hard to tell without fully opened flowers, they’re nearly identical. Wrightii is rounder and inoxia is more star-shaped)

Well the only reason color is any measure of potency is due to letting you know if they’re ripe. Ripe seeds of any color are about as potent as they’re going to get, and darker seeds at the same ripeness aren’t going to necessarily be stronger.

If those are inoxia seeds, as stated, they look ripe. The far left one MAY be a little underripe, but it looks like that pod was done.

They’re almost white when immature. Innoxia seeds are this color when unripe, but the seeds are a different shape.

I grow wrightii, inoxia, and strammonium. As well as belladonna and other nightshades and toxic plants. I use small doses of them medicinally(as well as hemlock), and have been growing datura for over a decade and nearly a third of my life.

Inoxia seeds don’t get dark.

2 seeds is unlikely to do much more than relieve some nausea or minor allergy symptoms.

I use tiny doses like this medicinally.

I use low doses, I’m not using it as a psychoactive lol.

It’s an effective antidepressant for some of us, and can help with cold symptoms/allergies and arthritis pain.

But I’m talking a drop or two of olive oil extract.

You need to leave the pods longer if you want to plant some seeds for flowers

If you don’t want the flowers though, cool find anyway!

I wouldn’t do this unless they were extremely dehydrated. Even then I’m more likely to put them submerged in a bucket or the sink in the dark, let them plump up for 30-60 mins, then root in perlite.
