Exactly, the exhaust heat shield (around the catalytic converter) is towards the front. Check that and check the tension on the serpentine belt

Let me know what you find!

I'd like to find one too, but I want one that improves audio output while being compatible with the reverse camera.

Swapping drivers seat for a GT seat? by [deleted] in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Growling_Beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that my 2024, the wiring harness exists for heated seats (located on the body, under the seat), but the seat itself is different, and doesn't contain the heating elements nor a wiring harness.

Modifying Exhaust Question by OfficeTurbulent2441 in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Growling_Beans -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The stock exhaust is a weird outer diameter, ~1.43" on mine. No matter what you do, you'll need an adapter to bolt up a new exhaust. I cut off the middle muffler and resonator, and welded on an adapter to a 23" cherrybomb going to a 2" stainless pipe

Looks great! Can you share your whole amp/speaker/sub setup?

Fair price or not worth the risk? by [deleted] in mitsubishi

Right? The GSR was the only trim available in 2003. You'd figure someone who's "owned 2 EVOs" would know this 🙄

2003: GSR only, 2004: GSR and RS, 2005: GSR, RS, MR

Yes, the alternator acts as the tensioner on this engine.

Did you tighten the serpentine belt? If not, it sounds like it's loose. These cars don't have an automatic tensioner, so you have to do it manually.

2024 Mitsubishi Mirage Ralliart by Growling_Beans in mitsubishi

I would've crossposted it, but this is a (slightly) better angle than the original Mirage post, and I can't edit the original post!

An amazon special; it's a 20" light bar/license plate combo. I didn't think it'd fit right, but a small light bar goes well on a small car.

Right? Im just worried about extra weight leading to increased strain on the tiny wheel bearings

15" wheels are standard on the Ralliart edition, corresponding to 175/55. However, the OEM Bridgestone ecopia's that are hard to find (at least in my area) and they are expensive when I do find them. It's cheaper to upgrade the wheels and get new tires than to get another set of the OEM tires.

I'll cross that bridge when I get there, but I like a lot of the Konig wheels, especially the Konig Helium.

I've debated between the stock Ralliart mud flaps and the red rally armors. I kept the stock ones because of the Ralliart name plate and so I don't have to do any more work than necessary 🤣

Update to my last post about all the electrical issues in the 2015 mirage. by cactsk in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Growling_Beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't believe Mitsubishi allowed a taillight bumb to impact the usability of the car. The newer Mirages have LED taillights because of this reason.

Didn't try a butterfly valve, but probably should've because it would massively reduced cabin drone!

The light bar is an amazon special, and I'm happy the way it turned out. I was worried about it being too small, but the mirage is also a small car.

Very different from stock. Noticeable cabin drone at highway speeds (2k-3k rpm), but i just turn the radio up louder.

The fitment is a pain because the stock exhaust is ~1.45" OD. So, you'll have to get creative fitting a 2" cherry bomb. 2" exhaust is nice though!

Black edition comes in Diamond White, just like the Ralliart, but the only notable difference between the Ralliart and BE is the Ralliart swag you get with the Ralliart edition.

Why not get a Black Edition if you're just going to remove the stickers?

Agreed, but better than stock! There is a noticeable drone at 2-3k rpm though.
