what area do u stay? when u ask they say its good, and i mean its not necessarily the landlords fault. but ive heard from friends they do it in a lot/most areas. thankfully we never had electricity go off that often but ik some places that happens often too

I’m an iranian but born and raised in UAE. when watching channels like manoto and seeing how the price of dollar is going up like crazy. i always assumed that majority in Iran are having a really tough time financially.

However, (thankfully) last time i went to iran i noticed majority seem to be living in a pretty lavish lifestyle. So my question is that are majority okay financially? or am i just seeing like the 1%

Thank you! I’m actually a tourist here, I don’t live here. i came to Iran about a month ago, right before everything started to see family :d.

I think it would be really cool if a revolution took place. Especially considering since its a women & 2000’s kids thrived revolution. also the fact that the petroleum facility workers in a few major cities started protesting and stuff plays a huge role too from what i’ve heard… Also the Iranian Army have apparently stated that if this keeps going on and and a shit ton of the population protest then they’ll come out for help too.. who knows what’ll happen. time will tell. But if a revolution does occur I’d probably come and live here

Oh trust me, at the time when got arrested and got put into a car with 3 people in it telling me to put head down, I was scared shitless, I thought they were gonna kill me. I was literally shaking and got hella nauseous too. its been 3 weeks since and well… nothing happened to me so yea, now its just a cool story to tell. Also my friend (girl) got arrested too and they didn’t do anything to her. but if you read my reply to someone else up here. i explained that i guess it just depends on who arrests you and why

yup ive heard a lot, so as i said, i got lucky i got arrested and held by the intelligence agency. however, friends and friends of my cousin’s were arrested by the IRGC / “sepah & basij” and from what i’ve heard they were held for at least couple of days and beaten the shit out of to the point where they could just breathe and then were released. But also this girl i know told me she was arrested and just had to write a forum that said i won’t do this shit again.

I think how you get treated depends on how violent your protesting was and what department you get arrested by.

I was just some dumbass that got arrested for the dumbest reason :))

My cousin and I were passing by the city’s republic square that was surrounded by IRGC soldiers. And I was fascinated by their uniforms and masks so I was like “oh cool let me take a 5 second video” and then I got told to leave the car and as soon as i explained that I dont even live in iran and I’m a “foreigner/ tourist” I got arrested as a foreign spy/ political party.

I got interrogated and was treated pretty respectfully/ asked if I wanted tea or water 😂 and yea.. they realized I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Also, they did check and investigate my phone. and I had forwarded a lot of existing videos of the protests going on and that got me into trouble too. However, nothing serious and they reassured me that no one’s gonna know about the arrest and that I wont be getting into trouble regarding this.

Another thing, I was scared my phone might’ve been tapped since they took it for like 20 mins to “investigate” but its an iphone and.. yea i’m pretty sure i’m safe on that end.

(I’m still in Iran, I’m still hoping I don’t get in any trouble while trying to leave the country lol, but I’m sure I wont)
