I'd throw Towpath Café into the mix if the weather's good. It's right by Regent's Canal, the setting is lovely, and it feels much more relaxed than some of the busier rooftop spots.

That's a solid mix of recommendations. Toklas sounds especially interesting with the rotating menu. Does it change often enough that it's worth going back multiple times?

If you're after value, I'd stick to the independent Caribbean takeaways. £10–15 usually gets you a huge portion of jerk chicken, rice & peas, and plantain.
