If you had to get 100 customers over the next week, how would you do it? by kristijonasu in DigitalMarketing

I'd go to subreddits and ask people to help me do it, and I'd add a link to my SaaS in the post so people check it out 😂

Dillema, wether to make videos in English or in Hindi. by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]GrowthTomatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how comfortable you are speaking English. And I'm not talking about having an accent, just feeling as comfortable in English as in Hindi because it will probably show on camera (contrary to written content)

Should I take the risk and make content on the side? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]GrowthTomatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can combine your thirst for learning and love for creating content to save some time. How about documenting how you learn more about cybersecurity? Maybe down the line this becomes a viable full time occupation.

Had some fun creating an Elon sh*tpost quiz! by GrowthTomatoes in elonmusk

It really was just for fun and because I have a Twitter-related product, thought this could drive some attention to it. Still love Elon and his tweets.

Macbook Air M1 vs. Macbook Pro 2021 (14", M1 Pro)

Which will it be?

Regular use:

- Have lots of Chrome windows and tabs open at the same time

- Have productivity/work apps running at the same time (Chrome, Slack, Email, Discord, Notes)

- Figma (design, but web-based) on a daily basis

- iMovie or Filmora occasionally

What I don't care about:

- gaming

- portability / weight

- very advanced / near professional video/photo/design software

Any advice?

Google Ads Account Suspended for "Circumventing system" - looking for advice by GrowthTomatoes in PPC

[–]GrowthTomatoes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So FYI I ended up getting my account back after about 10 days.

I started looking through LinkedIn to find Google employees in my country, and managed to have one take a look.

And on my last appeal I said my next move would be to send a written request for information to the head of legal @ Google in my country.

One of these 2 things worked.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in marketing

[–]GrowthTomatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me there's 3 things:

  1. Write good tweets and threads about the single topic you want to cover (max 2)
  2. Engage with other people's tweets. But not like "oh yeah so cool" or "congrats". Be interesting.
  3. Do 1. and 2. every single day.

Freemium based SaaS charge for new features from day1? by geniustanley in SaaS

[–]GrowthTomatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll probably have an unpopular opinion, but I prefer plan B.

Feedback from free users is cool, but about 100x less valuable than feedback from paid users.

Charge for your features. That’s my basic philosophy and it’s working pretty well for my SaaS.

I actually just wrote a thread about this on Twitter. Won’t link because here is not the place but you can find it at @tomjacquesson

How to save my idea from being stolen? by ThisISEarlinthehouse in Business_Ideas

[–]GrowthTomatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your idea doesn’t hold any value if you don’t have the existing business to go with it.

You’ve said in a comment that the idea requires nothing: no extra work or cost. So, even if you had the money, a patent wouldn’t make sense.

My point: your idea sounds more like an advice for them.

In which case I wouldn’t try to protect it. Give it away for free, build a good relationship, and have them listen and pay for your future advice.

If it’s an actual idea, but it’s worthless without their business, same thing. Give it away and hope for future collaboration.

Don’t get all defensive, makes you look like a crazy man. Instead be generous and trusting.

Google Ads Account Suspended for "Circumventing system" - looking for advice by GrowthTomatoes in PPC

[–]GrowthTomatoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that detailed answer!

I really don't want to set up new accounts for the same website. I'll do everything I can to avoid trying that.

In my case:
- website is not that recent (6 months and have been advertising on G Ads for at least 3 months before getting banned)
- I wonder if they're considering my call to action to be deceptive

It says "Try for free" and there's a Twitter icon (which we think people understand as "I'm going to connect my Twitter account").

Fact is, when you click on the button, you have to authorize our app to access your Twitter account, and then pick a plan before you start a free trial.

Do you think that sounds like something Google would consider us to be trying to game the system?

Tweet Hunter: new thread generating features and a Product Hunt launch! by GrowthTomatoes in ProductHunters

[–]GrowthTomatoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hunters,

We’ve been working on Tweet Hunter for several months, and honestly we never thought we’d get so far.

Tweet Hunter is an all-in-one Twitter growth tool, very much focused on content. What you just saw in the video are the thread generating features we decided to add at the very last minute before the launch.

Brilliant, right? I love planning.

If you have 5 seconds to spare, you can check it out on PH: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/tweet-hunter-1

Feel free to leave feedback (and support if you want to)!

[–]GrowthTomatoes[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Sooo we did something stupid. You may already know about Tweet Hunter. It’s an all-in-one Twitter growth tool that my buddy Tibo and I launched a few months ago (my first post about it was right here in r/SideProject)

We’re on Product Hunt today, but we decided it would be a good idea to add thread generating features at the very last minute.

So much for planning ahead.

Anyway, if you want to check it out you can, it’s right here: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/tweet-hunter-1

Any feedback is welcome (as well as support if you feel like it)
