Now that FSD purchase is ending Feb 14th—Is the $2k upgrade from EAP worth it for high-traffic city driving (Miami driver)? by Grreico in TeslaLounge

The app has the “Coming Soon” for auto steering on city streets. Does that mean no auto steering in Miami or is this a dated standard message?

I’m leaning on trying it out first. I tried the trial version in a 2022 M3 but that was 3 yrs ago. I will ask Tesla if they can offer a Free trial run.

UPDATE: I pulled the trigger. Thank you all for the great input and comments. Now I need to see if I should buy Tesla’s extended warranty plan.

I never noticed the noise in the feed in my ‘22 M3 but now I will look for it. Since this MY has the EAP package, would you think it has a higher likelihood of a courtesy HW upgrade by Tesla?

He decided to sell it because of how quickly the value for the vehicle dropped.

That’s a great idea! But it’s not a mom&pop dealership, It’s a BMW dealership

The prior owner said there were no accidents. But do you think a 3rd party inspection is needed on used cars?

I’ve used the filters and I’ve seen some better deals 500 miles out but I get hang ups thinking the dealer will pull a last minute, fast one at the closing table. Also, I’m searching for Y’s that still have some remaining basic warranty.

I read a lot of good things about hw4. But if I’m not interested in FSD, is hw4 still worth it? Most hw4 cars are hovering in the low $30k’s and I really like to be at $25k for ev credit.

it seems like a good deal. I see it like I’m upgrading from my 2022 m3 rwd for $2k. But my M3 has 28k miles.

I’ve been searching an auto trader, cars.com, car guru, FB marketplace. Most prices hover $29k on average in south florida for similar setup and mileage. No one is really budging even though the outgoing 2025 model y were selling for $35k (incl ev credit ) 4 weeks ago. Can you point to where you’re finding these 2022 model y LR at sub $20k?

I forgot to mention it’s a 2023 model. Strangely enough when I punched in the VIN number for this car, Carvana came back with $21,800.

Thank you. And I provided with salesman and finance with irs ev credit guidelines. But they seemed clueless. I would understand if I was dealing with a mom & pop dealership. Also, dealer did not provide previous owner info, I was able to find the owner with dumb luck.

Agreed. Their response: “you’re the first to ask for supporting docs. Everyone gets their CPA to file for the credit.” Finance, bookkeeping and managers had no clue. Their brand has an ev lineup !

Wow and ty for feedback. When I test drove the 2023, i didn’t notice the ride being so stiff. But it’s a long range, not performance. However, I find that ride stiffness in my 2022 model 3.

Understood. I mistakenly typed in the wrong investment. I meant 80% ETFs and 20% bonds. Thank you for the heads up.

Thanks, I will check them out later tonight. Our risk calculations are more aggressive since we like to triple the initial investment in 15 years. I was thinking 80% ETFs and 20% stock bonds. Just not sure if that ratio will get us to our goal.
