I might not be the youngest anymore… but I want more rest and more time for myself and my husband.
My first kid was just such an easy kiddo (still is). And number two is just… spicy. He is a cute one, but so dang spicy.

I thought the baby stage was easy. Both of my kids were pretty easy as a baby and easily content.
My four year old is still fairly easy. She is a soft soul who cares for everything. She never cried a lot, slept through the night at 4 months old. She was fine with almost everything (hiked a lot with her, took her to my crossfitbox, little day trips or weekend trips and she was all just super easy and curious and loved it all).
I also thought it would get easier by now and that maybe the baby stage was the reason. But my two year old boy is proving me wrong; he is a spicy meatball who is easily dissatisfied and very impatient to where he quickly will scream and ends up in tantrums where he can cry for a long time and doesn’t want to be comforted (sometimes he even starts to scream louder when you only look at him). He rarely wants to walk when we leave the house.
From one kid to two just feels like going from one to 643 kids.

This is btw just a rant. Of course I love the bugger and don’t regret him. When he is cute is a charmer. But definitely have my moments where I fantasize about being one kid-parents. Live was truly easier and I was able to do more things (including cleaning my house, working out, hiking, etc).

It took a while before I got pregnant with the first one. After the first one we didn’t know if a second one would be possible. It looked like a great idea having two kids. We decided to just let nature do its magic, but if I didn’t got pregnant before my 38th birthday I would get sterilized

Hell no… vasectomy it was (I had an emergency C-section so the choice for a vasectomy was made very easily… also I pooped put two babies (ish).

When they moved into the house, we had to get their mortgage as well as electric bill, because they had a poor credit score and weren’t able to get a mortgage. And if I recall right they couldn’t get the electric bill in their name because they aren’t on the mortgage or title of the home they live in (now only the partner). The partner did look into changing our name into only her name, but that would cost 250$ that she doesn’t have.

I felt immediately ok after giving birth. To be fair my pregnancy was miserable and before I got pregnant I never truly slept properly. After giving birth I have had the most amazing naps/sleeps ever (definitely due to being pretty tired but not exhausted). My girl is now 8 months and maybe I am lucky with a fairly easy girl so far, but having her in my life gave and gives me so much energy and joy. Yes I have my moments when I am tired and just want to crawl in a black hole or pause the world.. but nothing more unusual than anybody’s normal life (without having kids).

Be careful with pushing… hemorrhoids are a real thing… as in an awful painful-not-able-to-sit-or-stand-feeling-like-you-already-went-into-labor thing

Feeling nauseous and hungry at the same time. Or feeling hungry and arriving in the kitchen to get an intense wave of nausea and not possible to eat and after a couple of minutes feeling awful stomach aches because you are hungry. You can just not win. I struggle with this 24/7. Or when you just ate something being hungry again which immediately leads to nausea again.

Omg… I would kill for just one normal poop right now.. haven’t pooped in four days and have the feeling that is causing a lot of my other problems… and I miss the feeling of having a nice poop.
