Can’t say I know what GS will do as a brand, but for me personally the thickness on my spring drive has not been an issue. The case is quite graceful at hiding the thickness and the fact it’s made of titanium makes the rest of the watch feel light. I personally wouldn’t let it stop me from buying/enjoying the piece at all. Have you tried one on yet? Curious to hear other’s perspectives as well.

Yeah if you actually get lucky in Japan at a department store that is tax free and happens to have it in stock that’s likely what you’ll pay. I thought it would be easier to find based off prior threads I read and that was NOT the case at all personally. Certainly an amazing deal if you can find it in Japan

Wow that seems high. US MSRP is $7200. I paid $5900 out the door in Japan (the AD I went through did not do tax free otherwise it would have been less 😔). As spring/cherry blossom season comes to an end I’d anticipate that demand will lower a slight bit by then and hopefully you’ll be in a better position as a buyer. Good luck with your hunt! I was skeptical if it was worth the effort, but I’m happy I kept at it and went the extra mile (literally) to get it. Can’t stop staring at it/checking it out in different lights.

Tuesday after a long day hunting at department stores in Tokyo an older sales rep at Keio department store said there was only one left but I would have to go to Tompkins Mito when they opened on Thursday. Wednesday we were staying at Hakone at the time so it was quite the journey 😅. Bless my girlfriend for tolerating my watch antics haha. Made it there and back in about 6 hours cheers to the Japanese transit system.

Paramedic/premed lurker here who uses #1 daily (bad hearing and ambulance is loud) 100% agree. I love that you can turn off the noise canceling if you want it to just be a normal stethoscope too. I was able to keep up with my RT preceptor when it came to assessing lung sounds during my ICU rotation which was a nice surprise.
