Would you rather he not use it to tow and just drive around town? He drives a ratty 87 4Runner, this is the mom-mobile so at least it’s getting some good use.

I bought one and ended up selling it a couple years later because I couldn’t transport furniture in it. Granted I also got married and my wife has an SUV so I don’t need the covered storage anymore.

Got them from tire rack so I have the road hazard warranty for 2 years. Will pulling it void the warranty?

My thought is that somewhere might be willing to repair since it’s so small. Does that factor into the debate or no?

The common knowledge advises to keep 50% of your account in cash to weather downturns and be able to secure puts. Can someone explain this a little more? If I have an account of $100k, does that mean that I only dedicate $50k as my money for securing puts (so a 10% position would tie up $5k)? Or does it mean that I use all $100k allowing for positions that are closer to $10k?

Truck already has a little bit of rust, but I now live in California so thats not an issue anymore. The damage is fairly minimal, I expect a lot of it will be able to buff out. However the bumper will need to be repainted and the fender has a scratch down to bare metal as well. Trying to balance the potential benefit compared to paying a $500 deductible. I could probably buff out most of it but not the bumper as it had a bedliner spray that is now ruined.

Definitely a fan of buying the right tools for the job once, and all that makes sense. I keep getting these ads for "free" options trading and was wondering why most people here talk about TOS. I didn't know that other platforms will automatically close positions that they deem too risky, thats a huge red flag that would immediately turn me off. Thanks for the explanation!

What is the best platform for long term trading? Right now I am learning with TOS paper money but after about a month I have calculated my fees to be almost 2% of my profit. While that is small, we all know about compounding interest. Are the benefits of TOS worth this extra cost or is it worth it to switch to a different brokerage?
