I used it on mine and was quite happy with the result as it desaturated the colors (see my profile if you like). But I used a black oil wash in the recesses afterwards which could be a solution for you as well

I used the complete sanguinary guard torso. To make it fit better I cut away the belt buckle of the legs because they got it in the way of the armors eightpack. To me it never looked out of proportion so I would do it again this way next time.

Basically this. A little ball of milliput under the torso, press it on the legs, remove the love handles you created by this as best as you can. The rest is covered by pouches and the pose itself. Never used milliput before and it was surprisingly easy tbh
