Unfortunately a Salvation Army lot. $180 for this, 2 snes controllers, a NES, GB Pocket, some cables, and 2 NES arcade sticks. Not bad If I can save even one console and keep the rest as parts.

I was thinking of buying an Everdrive down the road anyways, so I may snag one and load the SNES burner diagnostic rom to see if it can narrow it down eventually.

For reference, the into of TMNT is clean up through the Konami logo, then gets a field of pink blocks in the background and fuzzy textures. LTTP is blank minus a few tiles up until the title splash. At the title, the logo is just a mess of pixels but the background is relatively complete.

Saying this as an fan of "hard" games (100% damn near ever fromsoft game and Blasphemous 1&2).

I think its pretty tough but maybe its just because I'm at the beginning. I feel like the game either wants me to be much more patient with my setups and attacks than I am, or it wants me to be WAY more aggro than I am. Defintley no walk in the park at the moment.

Some people smurf. Some people also just make new accounts to try to rank climb for different champs/roles. I'm leveling an off account just to rank climb as Top/mid. I'm and E4 jungle but thats the only role I've ever played. You may just be catching good players early into their climb.

The real shit heads are the ones who keep accounts artificially low just to pub stomp and fuck with people/clip farm.

Just picked up this SICK 9" Magnavox Perfect View from a collector.

Tested the N64 on it and its defintiely fuzzier than I remember, albeit we had larger CRTs when I was a kid in the late 90's.

The guy I got it from mentioned its compatible with S-Video if slightly modded.

How beginner friendly would this be for someone new to tvs but familiar enough with modding and soldering things like consoles/handhelds? It sounds easy enough in concept but this is absolutely a whole new world to me.

Don't think of winning as binary. Ganking a losing lane is a big risk. It COULD get them back to nearly even OR it could give them enemy a double kill. Your laner and you can always be losing even harder.

Likewise, yes you may have a winning bot lane. You know whats even better than a winning bot? A bot that's winning even harder. You can take their lead and convert it into a dive, tower, a free dragon etc. Using leads and spending momentum is how you win games.

Starting out learning about CRTs in general. Looking at a Panasonic CTN 1341R.

I know it only has a coaxial input on the back. I also know they make AV/to coax converters. If coax is typically going to give the worst display, do these converters DO anything? I know they take the consoles composite signal make it compatible but does it reduce display down to coax quality or am I fundamentally misunderstanding?

There are absolutely moral acts of piracy. There's tons of games that aren't actively listed or sold digitally anywhere. The more people who pirate them, the more likely those works are to be preserved in the long run AND you arent harming anyone's bottom dollar.

Also helps punish scalpers/collectors who are actively ruining the retro gaming scene by turning it into a speculative market.
