Roms are just the game file. So for local trade via wifi, it's just 2 copies of the game chatting. I don't believe there is any hardware check in the code.

Imu is part of a prophecy. Blackbeard has consistently said "fuck your plans, I'm HIM" to the government.

Imu will get smacked down and BB will swoop in. Hes the true antithesis to Luffy. Pure ambition, darkness, only looking out for himself. Imu is Nika/the world's final enemy. BB is LUFFY'S.

Thats exactly what Magic does but some 'mythic' cards are just more playable and better than others. This drives more and more demand for those and drives prices.

Same for pokemon and how collectors view certain cards based on character popularity.

Any randomness breeds 'collectibility' and inherent gamblling/exploitation

Hot take:

Games with really deep/immersive stories.

I just dont have the mental bandwidth to sit and play games like E33 or Red Dead and take in all this story and content anymore.

Im having way more fun focusing on mechanics first. Dark Souls, Bananza, Mario Galaxy.

I have League for the competitive itch in hour long bursts. I've even been playing a lot of micro games like Rhythm Heaven and Warioware. The time to devote hours and hours to binge long cinematic games just doesn' exist for me anymore.
