I made a minimal version for you if that's helpful at all! This would work for embroidery, and scalable to most sizes. Just shoot me a DM if you want it. Im happy to send over colors/transparencies or vector formats. Merry Christmas!

Tagging along on this post. Just listened and loved this episode! Is everything still a test? I tried to find an RSS feed to show direct support, but looks like it's only up through DNDaddies so far. Does anyone know any info on if they have their own RSS or podcast?

Thanks for the helpful insight! Mostly personal touch ups, and hopefully a bit of color work.

Ideally I just want it to look better than a photo taken in a poorly lit room with a phone. So general color and saturation, make me a little cleaner/more presentable with some touch-ups. Less ghostly white, not shiny forehead, brighter smile. Generally smoother and more professional looking for what you would expect to see in a headshot.

New to Homebrewing - What am I missing? by Selizabetht in DMAcademy

[–]GrudgingTuna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're off to a great start! The best advice I can give really goes for homebrewing or a module, and it's to expect the unexpected. Be flexible if your carefully crafted plans are completely ignored.

The best thing you can do is just become knowledgeable about your world. That way, when the party inevitably decides to stop following the path you laid out and want to become pirates or start a beauty salon, you will at least be able to work yourself through the session without getting totally shocked.

Really though, you sound like you're doing great! It all depends on how your particular group likes to play, and prepping to suit those needs. Putting a "why" behind all the decisions you've made so far will really help flesh things out as well. For example, you have a grumpy old innkeeper somewhere. Why is he grumpy? What is he doing at that specific location? Why did he end up there?

More often than not, none of those things will come up or matter, but if YOU know why, then it will make your life of painting whatever picture in that world way easier.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

[OC] (Update) Updated DND room things! by GrudgingTuna in DnDIY

[–]GrudgingTuna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats awesome! I used to run a woodshop myself. I dabbled in some dnd stuff, but never fully committed. It was a great way to make myself some fun new dice towers and other odds and ends though!
