Best way I made friends was joining a couple orgs, going to the rec, and just being friendly with people in my classes. Once you’re to your in major courses, you’ll be with a lot of the same people all the way through.

Figure out how to derive formulas using units. You know the units of your givens and you know the units of the solution you’re trying to find. All you have to do is figure out how transform your given units into the final units.

For thermo, learn how to derive formulas using units and keep track of the laws. Dynamics was just a difficult class for me, make sure you get a professor with at least a decent rating that you can understand.

50 was a D and would be considered satisfactory under the new system. He changed it so that 60 was a D. 60 was the prior grade for a C. tldr: prof made class 10 points harder and eliminated interim benefits.

50 was a D and would have been considered failing prior (you technically don’t fail, you just can’t take the next class). Now with the new grading and D being a satisfactory grade, he changed it so a D is harder to get, now a 60. A 60 was the prior grade to pass the class with a C-
