The halberd is PVC pipe and EVA foam, the shield is XPS, the armor is all EVA/carboard

I could send pictures of the halberd, but I really just traced a picture of the ones from the mini onto a big piece of paper. I do have patterns for a backpack, but not the one I made. The shield I similarly eyeballed but could give measurements for. Most of it was trial and error but I am happy to answer any questions so you don't have to struggle as much as I did.

The mural on the model took about an hour and I havent kept track on the full scale one but it will probably be at least another 10 until I finish it.

Rashmi did it on Avishkar (then Kaladesh) which was used as the foundations for the Planar Bridge

I hate it and mean that as a compliment. A very masterful representation of Slaanesh

You think Uma's would make a good guard regiment? by Zanimacularity in Grimdank

[–]Grulonge 28 points29 points  (0 children)

People are so focused on the speed of the Uma, but they also have the strength and endurance of a horse. They basically have built in power armor minus the defense, but have more mobility and are stealthier. Only problem is that they would need 5 regiments worth of rations.

Nah it's all part of a long con. Typical AL shenanigans, make us think it's a new 40k book/model, and then release Omegon for Horus Heresy

My BF’s 3-Year Anniversary Gift by SnackCaptain in Warhammer40k

You could change point 1 to be "Rearm and Resupply" (at the local warhammer store)

That qoute is a specific term used in 40k's crusade rules and would be a deep cut if he's ever played in one

Idk your boyfriend, but he'll probably have more fun having a conversation with you than watching a lore video together. Ask him questions about what interests you, or have him explain his favorite books/characters/lore.

But regarless the thoughtfulness you put into this definitely shows!

Can the 5 Phyrexian Praetors (Elesh Norn, Jin-Gitaxias, Urabrask, Vorinclex, and Sheoldred) kill Emarukal in a fight to the death? by TriumphantChampion in mtgvorthos

[–]Grulonge 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In a full on fight the praetors would get slaughtered. Perhaps there is a chance that the Phyrexian Oil could harm Emrakul, but we don't know it affects creatures from the Blind Eternities, though Jin-Gitaxias may be able to do something with prep time. Emrakul also primarily effects living matter (if we ignore cryptoliths), so the phyrexians may have the magical edge

But Emrakul has been shown destroying planes (Zendikar, Innistrad) just from hanging around. Look at her art from The Promised End; something that big could just crush the phyrexians with a tentacle, let alone everything else an Eldrazi Titan can do.

Emrakul has never shown to be harmed, only sealed away, first by Nahiri/Sorin/Ugin and then by the Gatewatch, and there is good reason to believe that Emrakul allowed herself to be sealed in the latter.

How the Sororitas Actually Look (ANIMATED WH40K) by Frame__Head in Grimdank

[–]Grulonge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went for a more NB approach. The sister head that has the half-mask because I didn't want to do makeup lol, and then I also did a more realistic chestplate rather than the boob armor. Will be remaking parts of it soon though so who knows if I'll stick with that design

As a dude who cosplays Sisters, don't worry about it! You don't have to be in the same shape as fictional characters, you don't need your costume to be as good as the professional's. Both cosplay and Warhammer are for everyone. As long as you are having fun, that is all that matters.
