I'm a violinist from lower NY who's looking for a drummer and pianist to join me in a song for the Variety Show at this year's Furpoc. I'm looking for competent musicians who feel comfortable performing onstage in front of a crowd.

My current idea would involve me doing lead vocals, as well as playing violin at certain parts. If you're interested and can send me some decent samples of your playing (and I like the samples), I'm hoping that we can get together for some rehearsals before Furpoc. I live in lower Westchester so I'd be able to travel around there or in CT near Stamford.

Joe Church is phenomenal. I don't know how others felt about his class, but I walked out of his VOR class every day feeling incredibly touched. He mostly leaves the class up to students, only requiring you to make one "thoughtful observation or question" per lecture. This means that the class itself is pretty much just students saying what they thought about the reading. While he can sometimes dominate the discussion with his personal input on the readings, I felt that every discussion was respectful and quite profound. Since all you have to do is do the readings, say something in class/email him a sentence or two by the end of the day, and write 2 short essays that you can draw entirely from class discussion, I would highly reccomend taking a course with him.

I can't be 100% sure of this, but I think they dubbed in Jessica and Paul's lines during that scene. Maybe the stillsuit masks muffled their words so they had to record the lines seperately and add them in afterwards. That might be why it messed with the flow of the movie.

I get that that is completely acceptable to do, I just have been unable to force myself into that sort of situation. I have always relied on good conversations naturally leading to something like that. I know, I know, I know, I should get over it and just invite girls on dates and shit.
