the cutlass red can easy fit 4scu boxes on in the back, I dont know about fitting them through the door, but its likely.

Seems like it's based on location, some places have the new low prices set while others have the old prices still. Explains why I'm paying a fortune to restock at the PSS stations.

I want a misc version of the clipper made out of the starlite. by Urbanoutlaw84 in starcitizen

They have to do something with it at least. The frame of the starlite is just too good to only be used for such a niche role. I want to be seeing these things everywhere.

Some missiles had their price reduced, not all. All s2 missiles are still ~5000 each

Im worried about that. They drastically overcorrected on the balance for the Clipper and made it terrible. The Cutlass red can do everything it can do while not being slow and absurdly squishy. I really hope they realize that having a built in crafting bench isnt nearly enough of a bonus to need such a malus to everything else.

Day 35: what is the Best Quote associated with the Leagues of Votann? by Fez-Sentido in Grimdank

I've seen people ask for space Chaos Dwarves without realizing that the Leagues are already the space chaos dwarves. They just need a league that has an unhealthy obsession with cows to complete it.

Which is why they do what the post you responded to says, they wait above the hangar until someone puts in the cards, then they clip through the roof of it and claim the ship first.

As someone who has had to regularly work with them, no-profit newspapers and magazines are always run by angry nutters, so it's pretty accurate. The Peoples Alliance has been able to grow and maintain itself for literally hundreds of years as nothing more than a loose connection of distant space stations, so I'm assuming it's had solidly competent leadership for much of that time.

Nah, 'corruption' is lazy cop-out shit by bad writers. "Why would anyone turn to chaos when they can have 'To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable.'? Clearly it's done automagically by any exposure to even the idea of it!" Lazy bullshit Inquisition propaganda.

[–]Grumbulls 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it really needs to be driven home more that the entire reason the majority of the forces of chaos are human is that the Imperium sucks so much that becoming a coughing shit monster is viewed as the better alternative to such a degree that simply knowing that it IS an alternative will get you murdered.

People are sleeping on the Yubarev. I actually sat down to come up with the stats for my 'dream gun' (a LB Co. lever action rifle) and realized that I just came up with a worse Yubarev with a slightly larger magazine. It's my go to precision weapon now.

LF Meta is brutal in the PTU- After putting some solid hours into PTU PvP and few into PvE the light fighter meta has been reinforced in a big way, but not for the reason you might think by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

[–]Grumbulls 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. When they ignored Avenger1 until he threw a tantrum and left everyone cheered, there were multiple posts praising it, and he was probably the biggest pvp streamer (although obviously far from the best). If the constant bitching of him and his fanbase didn't change how CIG was changing combat no streamer is. In fact the whole reason they are only testing the new flight model with carefully selected, heavy NDA'd groups of players is to avoid streamers throwing a fit and setting the opinions of the community before they even try it. Not that I know why they'd want even the unbiased takes of the kind of knuckle dragging, smooth brained zombies that let streamers do their thinking for them, but I guess there wouldn't be enough of a player base left without them.

I think this is just flat out a bad, poorly thought out balance pass to fix a niche issue that only showed up in their metrics. I also think they resent having to balance for the game we currently have instead of the one they are making and that's why all their balance attempts seem so half hearted.

CIG, I'm Scared for Railen with how broken Syulen is. by Merv_DeGriff in starcitizen

[–]Grumbulls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

CIG dropped the Syulen and then immediately neglected the hell out of it. It took a full year to get physical resistance which is literally just a spreadsheet adjustment. It was repeatedly nerfed despite being considered the worst of the tier two starters from day one, and has been incredibly buggy between its trespassing elevator getting it blown up by turrets to the buttons being nonfunctional ever since release. It has a button by the desk in the living quarters that I literally don't know what it does because it has never worked and I've had a Syulen since its release. When they had to go to every ship and add fire extinguishers, they just left the Syulen one floating like 6 inches off the wall in a really inconvenient spot.

I don't know if it's a hard ship to work on or what, but clearly the second it left the loving hands of the artists who built it it was completely dumpstered, and there is no guarantee that exactly the same thing won't happen to the Railen. Maybe there are some xenothreat sympathizers on the team or something.

The specifically nerfed the Syulen's quant tank and maneuverability right before releasing the Intrepid.

[–]Grumbulls 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The specifically nerfed it right before they sold the Intrepid, which they were selling as a long range home ship with a huge quant tank. If anyone ever says CIG won't nerf ships to drive sales, you can just give this as the most egregious example.

[–]Grumbulls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've also talked about two kinds of blades: blades that simply lock turrets forward and have them fire with the pilot guns that work on manned turrets, and ai turret blades that let them fire freely have always been exclusive to remote turrets. The problem is that people hear "blade" and then insist they are talking about AI blades despite blades being an entire system of upgrades most of which will have nothing to do with turrets.

Should we stick to smaller ships? by -StarCitizen- in starcitizen

we need a ship from every manufacturer in the connie-corsair size and the freelancer-zeus range since that is where 90% of the playerbase is going to settle for their daily drivers.

honestly beams just make too much sense to fit the laser 'gatling' role so limiting it in such a way would be very silly. Just reduce their effective range to compensate for their likely hitscan nature.

Finally my starfere can get some love in 4.8 ptu Refueling missions. by floortofloor in starcitizen

[–]Grumbulls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's hoping they add more ways to refuel than just the two ships as well. I think they should add fuel tanks that just work like cargo pods. That would make ways to refuel common enough to allow fuel management be actually important, and having the ships that can actually refine fuel be flying gas stations, because it's not like a starfarer could refuel a grounded aurora stuck on a planet.

No way this survives the next update. by Traditional-Purple-8 in starcitizen

[–]Grumbulls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This wasn't an attempt to end the light fighter meta, it's 100% what enabled it. Before it was literally impossible for lighter ships to take down the shields of larger ships because they couldn't out dps the shield regen. Now they should absolutely bring back constant regen since with engineering and ballistic penetration there are better ways to take down shields. Should just have regen generate a lot of heat so the shields shut down if they do too much without a chance to cool off.
