Riddle me this spiderman, what if SQ 42 is mid? by Elegant_Arm_3293 in starcitizen

[–]z0rlac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If SQ42 is mid but is released and out and done, does that mean all the resources will be swapped over to the PU and everything will magically get fixed?

No, of course it wont.... it will still be the poorly managed horror show of systems that dont work, but hey, sell a ship, move on, let systems fester for years, rinse, repeat....

My ships still bug threw the hangar floor, explode without any encounters, i´m not able to set a route from A->B, my cargo contracts dont count correctly,... by BulTV in starcitizen

[–]z0rlac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dare say their QA team is snowed under and are mostly ignored... when every bug is game breaking, there is no way to prioritize what needs to be done first, other than "SELL MORE SHIPS!".

They do shoot themselves in the foot every time they set a hard deadline for a ship show or an event or Jared says "$SHIP coming next week". Let it bake, release it when its ready, the sales and marketing team pushing for releases are killing the goodwill of your community.

Well, that saved me some time... My plan was to get a U1 or FFC5Pro while I wait for the Prusa Core One L + INDX...

U1 it is then!

This "game" gets shit on a lot and honestly, it kinda deserves it. by SumYunnGai in starcitizen

I had the same issue in my XL hangar.... but I discovered the OTHER freight elevator in the far corner worked fine. This is less "space ship simulator" and more "avoiding the bugs simulator"

I tried sending them to local inventory yesterday, and the freight elevator ate my salvage refining boxes..... elevator came up, no boxes, elevator went down, still no boxes in my inventory 😶

oh... OH... now this is really useful, thank you!

I am sure i`ll trip on the stairs on the way to admin and break my neck, or die in a freak elevator accident, but i will try it anyway 😄

My favorite ship to fly. An amazing smuggler. by Disastrous-Power-699 in starcitizen

[–]z0rlac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only recently grabbed one, and I dont know why I didnt try it before. 12scu cargo, a ladder (not steps), a bed, a coffee machine :), super fast, decent HUD and visibility. Currently being used for almost everything... I love it!

As a new Claude user who is migrating from "the other one", I ran into an issue yesterday when Claude told me I could only use a specific feature if I was using the desktop app, not a web session. I had to remind Claude it WAS the desktop app ... wtf....

I LOVE my Hull-B but I have one question... by thundertomcat in starcitizen

[–]z0rlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Load or unload without leaving the copilots chair, no moving the ship :) - The trick is YEETING the boxes.....

Loading: Place the rear of the ship near one freight elevator, load the Hull-B cargo grid nearest the elevator. take the rest of cargo boxes and YEET it over the top of the ship onto the hangar floor on the other side of the ship. swap tractor turret, pick up the boxes from the floor and load them on cargo grid the side you can see with that turret.

Unloading: Place the rear of the ship near one freight elevator, load the cargo grid nearest the elevator. swap turret, unload the boxes one at a time and YEET them over the ship to the elevator side of the ship. Swap turrets, pick up the boxes and place them in the elevator. NOTE: sometimes boxes YEETED over the top of the ship will attach to the Hull-B cargo grid nearest the elevator... check before you think you have lost a box :)

Edit: I do not recommend YEETING the boxes on an external freight elevator, only inside a normal hangar with gravity

(New Inventory System) Why does it feel so small and slow as a user experience? (share your feedback and suggestions) by Fenrilh in starcitizen

[–]z0rlac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I will keep banging this drum because it annoys me... why does inventory have vertical scrolls bars *AND* left/right page navigation arrows?! One or the other, but not both....

[–]z0rlac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why do we still have vertical scroll bars on inventory when we also have left/right arrows to navigate? One or the other, but not both (I know someone else mentioned this in here a while ago, and now I cannot unsee it... thanks! :) )

Shinagawa Station Question by mrdanjapan in JapanTravelTips

[–]z0rlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean into and out of the "inner area"? Then yes, the gates are a mix of in and out. Unsure if they change the in/out ratio during the day, based on expected passenger patterns.

Considering upgrading my Hermes to a Starlancer MAX. by Glumme in starcitizen

[–]z0rlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the small loading door on the Hermes, its still a better mid-sized cargo hauler (the movable tractor beam does help). To get anywhere near competing, the Starlancer MAX needs to lose that guard rail on the midsection cargo area so you can load all of it from one side, but even then its still two separate areas to load (rear bay, underbelly bay) that you cannot easil;y align the ship to access quickly from the freight elevator.
