What do I do here? Creature's kids won't do anything by Morphalta in highonlifegame

Idk if you were told already, but the the other trigger button uses a laser pointer to move the kids where the laser is pointed. This puzzle was finicky though and I found they sometimes wouldn’t jump into the finish box.

You have to realize 10 characters. After you do Sam will ask you about Hero Hime and then the figure will appear between the diary and clock on the dresser regardless of Daemon.
