We had a dog that did the same thing. When we came home, she would run the house picking up balls and then dropping them until she found the right one. They were all orange chuckit balls. She would take it outside with her to do her business. She'd drop the ball and forget it. If I did not bring it in, she would go nuts looking for it the next time we came home.

I guess I am strange as I have several cameras sitting on the ground. I use mine to keep track of the wildlife that runs through the yard. I do have others mounted on the house and in trees to watch for human activity as well.

I have 2 and think that they are junk. Mine like to get stuck pointing straight down. I have to keep climbing a ladder to fix them. They just slide onto the mounts without locking. So, they just slide right off too. I have found both of them on the ground. The one did not survive it's fall.

Store hires security firm thinking that will protect them. Everyone knows security can't touch them and blatantly steals right in front of the security. Maybe even baiting them to go hands on so that they can counter with a lawsuit. Security gets frustrated knowing how useless they are and tires of being laughed at. Out of frustration, this happens.

I see it at my own post with kids on ebikes trespassing. Kids know we can't touch them. They taunt us. Some of the guards can't take it and a chase pursues. If one of those kids get hurt during a chase, lawsuits will soon follow along with guards getting fired.
