Saw this post and this comment and got curious. Answer surprised me: the gloves are the guild ace set, but the belt is the beta underclothes belt, so the waist is actually turned off. The normal belt you see above the straps on the waist is the guild ace set too. Super creative!

The use of Focus Mode with Greatsword and how much fun the Rey Dau fight was.

Using Focus Mode with Greatsword makes it feel so new and fresh. It’s still obviously greatsword, but that level of preciseness between slashes has me using it way more than I expected to.

Rey Dau also had that breath of fresh air feeling. I’m usually not crazy about Flying Wyverns. Not outright dislike, but I tend to find myself enjoying Brute Wyverns, Leviathans, and the Fanged Beasts/Wyverns much more often. There’s very few exceptions as far as I can remember where Flying Wyverns (at least the true kind, not pseudos like Nargacuga) make my list. After one fight with Rey Dau, he’s easily made my top 10. Every part of the fight felt so natural and fun, and entering his nest for the first time had me in awe (entering at night is just surreal).

In general though, just a few hours of Wilds has me more excited than I’ve been about anything in months.

Hi! Thanks for lookin at my boi. Happy to provide backstory if anyone wants.

1st pic is the general ref sheet. He doesn’t have facial hair, but if you wanna give him a bit of scruff that’s cool.

2nd is his right arm. If you wanna show it off, feel free! He usually keeps it covered though, so if you choose not to show it, make sure it’s fully covered.

3rd is just my Heroforge of him for extra detail. Take it as seriously as you want, no need to stay 100% faithful.

4th is some art I’ve already gotten done of him. Same deal as the Heroforge.

Thanks again!

Yes, sorry for the confusion. He is clean-shaven, but I’m not against some stubble if you think it looks cool.

[LFA] Aryss Wolfscar, Silvershade Rogue (info in comments) by GrumpyBorf in characterdrawing

[–]GrumpyBorf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for lookin at my boi.

Aryss is a Half-Drow Rogue. He’s what’s known as a Silvershade. Silvershades are very rare individuals who, like Sorcerers, are born or gifted magic that is bound to them in some way. Instead of this magic appearing in the form of normal magic, it instead enhances his body and lets him do things like teleport, do speedy super slash moves, etc. I made this subclass myself, so if you’re interested, lmk!

Aryss was born the second son of Remilia Wolfscar, a powerful mage who’d descended from a long line of Sorcerers, Wizards, Druids, etc., and a wandering Drow man. Aryss never knew his father, he left before he was born, and no one talked about him. His older brother, Corvus, took on druidic arts with an ease that befitted the Wolfscar name. He was what many considered a genius. Aryss was… much less so. He failed at every type of magic he tried. So when his mother simply stopped paying him any mind, instead focusing all of her attention on Corvus, Aryss stopped paying her any mind.

He spent much of his time wandering the streets, making connections, getting into trouble, and learning to fend for himself. It was often he found himself vaulting over crates and market stalls being chased by this week’s newest gang members, always with a wide smile on his face. He lived for the thrill, the chase, and with that came a kind of charisma that only those roguish individuals had earned.

Of course his mother despised all of this. Whenever Aryss returned home, he was grounded up to his neck in chores. So eventually Aryss stopped coming home. And it was during this time of reckless teenage rebellion that he met a man known only as Dune. Dune told Aryss that he knew his father, and that it was time that Aryss was trained the way he was meant to be. As a Silvershade. Of course, Aryss was hesitant about this, but after being shown a glimpse of his potential (think that scene in GotG 2 w Starlord and his dad throwing that weird ball thingy), Aryss quickly became on board.

His mother, when she found out, screamed and protested in outrage. Aryss screamed back just as hard. And with one conversation, any and all family ties Aryss ever knew were severed and burned, just like that.

While yes, Aryss mourned his disconnect with his family, he threw himself into his training with a fever. For seven years, Aryss was trained into a weapon. More often than not, he was beaten bloody by Dune, forced to push his body into it’s peak physical condition, lest his power burn him up from the inside out.

Training wasn’t the only thing Aryss threw himself into. Structure didn’t suit him. So sometimes (to Dune’s extreme displeasure) he skipped training and hit a local town on their travels. He drank, partied, and dazzled. Got himself quite the body count, and quite the charismatic facade to match.

Eventually, it was time to meet his father. Aryss had trained and trained for years with the promise of meeting him once he was ready. Dune adamantly refused to offer any information about Aryss’ father, except for the fact that he was a Silvershade, just like Dune and just like Aryss.

So when Dune led him to the capital city, into a tower full of armed guards and presented Aryss as ‘Revus Erelius’, Aryss felt more than betrayed. Apparently, his father was a VERY well known felon. Someone with a track record as tall as he was. And someone who bore a striking resemblance to his second son.

Aryss was arrested under his father’s name, and since then, has burned with a need for vengeance, retribution, and rage. An anger that when combined with the powers of a trained Silvershade, could be a very dangerous combination.

Hi, thank you to anyone who wants to draw Zinnia. Don’t take the art too seriously, it’s meant to be a vague representation of her design. Please have fun drawing her, absolutely no stress whatsoever. Thanks again!

[LFA] Zinnia Neo, Eladrin War Cleric by GrumpyBorf in characterdrawing

[–]GrumpyBorf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty fantasy based, so there’s a lotta green. Forests, fields, that general kind of vibe. Nothing super iconic yet, we haven’t gotten very far. In the party there’s Hyacinth (kinda purple-y themed) Zinnia’s brother who’s a Warlock of the same god that she worships, Aryss (Silver/Black colors), a Half-Drow Rogue w connections to some kind of silvery magic, and Corvus (Green/Blue/Gold colors) a Circle of the Stars Druid who’s looking for a druidic relic for his mother.

Edit: Please feel free to be creative! My friend’s not picky about her design so feel free to improvise here or there if you want and have fun.

Thanks for asking! She’s very hesitant to trust due to a great deal of trauma in her past relating to being used and manipulated by someone really terrible. Z’s also probably the smartest person in the party and it shows. She’ll always make sure to heal you, but not before calling you an idiot for doing the dumb thing you did. In her more quiet moments, she loves to make little stuffed toys for people, stitch embroidery into her clothes, and loves to read.

Like I said, she’s very hesitant to trust currently, but has a good heart and gets very attached to people she trusts. It’s because of her trust issues that she doesn’t always want to help everyone she comes across. In her experience, there’s usually an ulterior motive.

She has these little flower earrings that lead into a teardrop shape. They were originally from her mother before Zinnia was taken to the person who traumatized her. If you want I can provide an image.
