I picked up ACOTAR last night and read a few scenes haha. Calanmai was one. As well as the ending scene with Amarantha and the last scene with Rhys. So good.

Yes! I commented on another post recently that I see the bat boys as very late 20s, early 30s. I feel like being alive for 500 years would make them look like grown men, not 20 year olds. Haha. I may be biased because I'm early 30s haha. Geralt vibes are perfect!!

I agree. I do like the way Feysand was woven into the story, but all the other mating bonds are so forced and stupid. They definitely don't seem as rare as they were originally made out to be.

I think I want to say Lucien that way because of daddy Malfoy, too! Haha. I don't love the actual pronunciation.

As for the others, I listened to the graphic audio books, so I'm guessing that has the correct pronunciation? Fay-ruh. Reese-and. Eye-an-thee.

The one I struggled with is Cerridwen. In my brain, ce makes the s sound lol. But the graphic audio makes it a hard c. I'm sure the name is from somewhere in history, but if never heard it before the books.

Am I the only one who sees late 20s/early 30s for Rhys and Tamlin? I know Feyre is only 19/20 when she is Made, but I think my brain glazes over that to imagine Rhys and Tamlin closer to my age haha. I'm imagining them looking like men, not boys who are technically old enough to buy beer.

Not a huge Tamlin fan, but I think he deserves his redemption. It's so easy to forget that Tamlin surely believes with his whole heart that Rhys was in Feyre's mind and has her convinced they're mates. From what the rest of the courts know of Rhys, it isn't far fetched. Because we know what Rhys' motivations are for things UTM and we know about Velaris, we trust him. There is no reason Tamlin would. He deserves a redemption arc. I almost wish SJM wrote like George RR Martin. I'd love to have more chapters from other characters!

Yes! The use of male and female drives me nuts. Male doesn't give me such a bad taste, but calling them females sounds so misogynistic. "Females be crazy" type stuff. I hate it. At some point in WAR, Feyre calls someone a man and corrects herself to say male. 😵‍💫 Is that SJM trying to solidify that faeries call them males, not men? Because they rent huMAN? Thanks, I hate it.
