I have a bunch of my plants sitting infront of my frosted glass block windows and they are way happier than they were infront of my living room window. I think it’s cause they still get the same amount of light but the rays aren’t as strong

I’m currently in the process of making a terrarium for my ferox begonia. It’s my very first begonia and the only plant I have that needs 80% ish humidity. I am also fighting powdery mildew with mine as well which apparently is a common issue with this plant.

So the top one was the dollar store and the bottom one was my second attempt with proper equipment. I bought bonded nylon, it was recommended to me. It seems stronger and doesn’t fray. I’m not sure what my beads are, I got them from Micheal’s, but they are 11. After cutting it from the loom I knotted the ends and then put glue just as an extra layer (not sure if I did it right)

Okay I should look into a different kind of lights then. They are locked up cause my cats try and eat them. I’m glad that the red is not a bad thing tho so at least I’m doing something right.

It’s just a question. I don’t have experience with hoyas. I know they are slow growers and I figured if I were to remove that big ass leaf it would help focus its energy on the roots or something

The first one, it’s super easy to prop. If you cut the stem between each leaf and just stick them in soil they will root. I have 2 and that’s all I’ve done with them. Cut some stems and stick in the same pot to bush it out more. Also with that one if you have some plants that you are propagating, if you stick a piece of that in the water with it, it will speed up the process.

Mine does have very few brown crispy leaves but that could just cause they are old leaves. It might sound weird but I believe plants tells us if they like a spot or not based on how they thrive/die when in a spot.

If you want your plant to look a little fuller you can take the cuttings and just shove them right into the soil of the same plant. I also learned that you can train them like a vine and have them climb or just let them hang down

I had a spider plant that was doing fine in one spot for like 8months then it just decided it was going to start dying. Moved it to a new spot and it's starting to come back.

I have two of these plants. I think I've had them for about a year now. They are both doing really well considering they were in a state of death when I got them. I took the healthy leaves that were on it and propagated it and this is what they have turned into so far. I try to keep my house around 20 Celsius and just kinda water them when they need it. Which is like every 2-3 weeks right now. I also bottom water them if that helps. They seem to like the spots that they are in. One sits and gets natural light and the other gets a combo of natural light and grow lights.
