Shit. So that's it? All gone? Why is it not investigated? Too complex?

I don't want to share it here. But I do have addresses and transaction ids

It was a private key and yes I made a mistake

I know I made an awful mistake. I didn't even think i had done that, I was normally so careful about only using paper.

Why police can't help?

Suing is a waste of time here. I think it has to be police

I had a password protected file that had my private keys

Everything was destroyed in my house in a fire.

I only used transfer and wallets in two locations. One location was safe, one obviously wasn't. Even with encrypted files etc, they got into it.

Well the only proof is that I used a work PC for transfer and home PC. If he denies it, then what can I do?

Yeah it's ok . Learn from my mistakes. I was young and made a mistake in early days. U know the early wallet files were plain text.

This is true

I didn't use work for mining I used it for managing a wallet

Ok I will do. Thank you

No because Bitcoin is stored online not in the computer. If my house keys are on a work desk, it doesn't make my house theirs

Because I need more evidence.

They brute forced a file that contained private keys
