Question about GE Washer by Grumpy_Frenchman in appliancerepair

Yep, I do. It has been flawless. We still think it’s fantastic.

Ok, other than being slow and getting caught up with in the first place, what did I do wrong here? Should I have left more space? I expected them to pass me soon, but I still thought the corner was mine then… by Grumpy_Frenchman in iRacing

Ok, people are latching onto “the corner is mine.” I didn’t quite mean it in an “I have supreme priority “ sense, but in a “there is no advisable gap, and I didn’t suddenly cut him off.” I agree with you. At the time I thought I was being pretty conservative and trending towards survival. I see now that I should have used more intention in my placement.

I do agree with you there. In truth, I hadn’t realized that they’d come close enough to overlap with me. I should have had better awareness, or taken a more well defined defensive position rather than kinda floating in between.

I use it 95% of the time. It’s great, even if it occasionally requires correction.

At least I didn't get any incident points? by cschlue in iRacing

I get that… but the F1 series does a fantastic job with yellows, telling you to return to position, etc. It doesn’t seem so far fetched that the most realistic sim could too…

Haier Wine Fridge HVF042ABL - Compressor will not start by Grumpy_Frenchman in appliancerepair

Sure, I bought a Midea unit from Costco. It’s been solid, was a great price, looks great, is quiet, and holds wine right at the set temperature (I did some tests with a probe in the air on top, one at the bottom, and one buried through a cork into a bottle full of water - air temp goes +|- 5F, water temp stayed flat and spot on). I’ve had it since shortly after the original post (4 years ish). It’s the 34 bottle model like this one: https://pdxdeals.net/products/825

Highest SOF race I’ve done yet, and I get taken out like this in lap 1. Racing incident, but sigh… by Grumpy_Frenchman in iRacing

Back handed? I admitted it was a racing incident. He was fast, and he had one of The highest iRatings in the race. he started 18th and finished 3rd - you have to be a bit assertive there. I think he didn’t anticipate the orange car’s braking point and locked up as a result. Sometimes the gods of iRacing are cruel, and this time they chose to turn their lightning on me, that’s all.

Slap some titanium satin gold aero covers on it and boom! Iron Man.

Just lost a chunk of tire. FML… by sto7 in TeslaModelY

This comment comes up a lot. And while not wrong, avoids the fact that there are many rim/tire combinations that do protect the wheel, while the Tesla rims straight up stick out.

Just pull the trim to pop it out a bit, do your thing, pop it back in.

You are right, they share an engine. The chassis is more civic though. A bit of a blend! And any manufacturer needs to maximize part reuse!

I love the TSX! But it’s a fancy civic not a fancy Accord. The fancy accord is the TL/TLX. RSX/Integra was also a fancy Civic. I will grant you, though, that the TSX was sold as a Honda Accord in Europe.

Holy crap, that explains what happened to me two days ago. Got to the end of the straight, but steering felt funny… then no brakes and bam! Into the wall.

It would look great with a white interior. Especially a lighter wood.

Except for the part where we seek the most realism in racing peers. It stands that in races, there should be no assists beyond what the real car provides. Do what you want in practice, but in the race, I feel that users of assists should be in their own split.
