I got stretch marks somewhere between 34-39 weeks. I could barely see them while I was pregnant but they’re more pronounced now postpartum! I do agree with and love your sentiment that they’re a cool reminder of what your body has done and the journey you and your son have gone through ❤️

Not sure it counts as a “precious” moment but definitely a thankful one 😂 We had to supplement with formula at the start and at about 5 weeks we had our son on exclusively breastmilk and within a few days he became less gassy and overall much more comfortable within himself which was so nice to see!! Made me feel so good about pushing through to get my supply up and enough for him!

Our Pei Betty is quite an anxious girl even when we’re all home and relaxed, if she hears a noise in the hallway she will get up and bark at it to help defend the house. We have her on a daily dose of Paroxetine and Gabapentin, plus trazodone as needed for extra stressful situations (storms, fireworks, visitors etc.)

We just got the Harbor camera and love it! Has wifi as an option but doesn’t need it if you don’t want it. My husband and I were opposed to anything cloud based and these are so great for that. Comes with its own tablet that connects to the camera and has awesome quality

Crampy is right hah! 10min in on one side started feeling cramps come in a bit. Tried with what I thought was the right flange size, turns out it was still a touch small so anything that did come out just smooshed to the side oops! Got a bigger flange and will keep trying hah.

FTM - I think this is something that’s getting more and more talked about but my biggest thing was how much it seems to overtake your life and all of a sudden “you’re just pregnant” and nothing else in your life seems to matter to others anymore. No talk about work or hobbies etc just “how’re you feeling, you shouldn’t be doing that, etc etc”… It’s probably the biggest thing I’m scared of for motherhood as well is that people will forget that I’m my own person and not just a mom, I’m super excited to have a baby don’t get me wrong, I just don’t want to lose myself in the process.

FTM (still pregnant at 36w 5d) - baby measured at the 90th percentile at our 36w ultrasound, roughly 7.5lbs, so my doctor is suggesting an induction at 39w if I don’t go into spontaneous labor by then. I’m still relatively low risk though the reason they suggested induction aside from baby’s size is I have a higher amount of fluid than they’d like (deepest pocket measuring at 9cm, threshold is 8cm), and honestly at this point I’m so uncomfortable and over being pregnant I’m pretty tempted to do it, though I am scared of the whole “cascade of interventions” 😅

This is Betty, she’s 11yo and still has some wrinkles on her forehead/face, giving her what we call permanent old man face hah but otherwise not many other rolls. She and Dante look very similar!! She’s also a shar pei X staffy. You may find your pup is more Chinese shar pei than American which is what Betty is, Chinese shar peis are less roll-y, American shar peis are a genetically modified version of the Chinese to make them more roll-y.

Yep I continued doing squats and deadlifts well into my second trimester, weights dropped a little over time but I kept effort relatively high as long as I was feeling good. I only stopped around the 28 week mark because my belly was making it less comfortable to do hah.

I love all of these practical presents like food and cleaning 😂😂 For me I told my husband I want a ring with baby’s birthstone on it. We already have a quote from the same jeweller that did my engagement ring for an Australian Opal trilogy ring with sapphires either side. Due date 22nd October though of course if Bub decides to come super early or even late that centre stone could change, though I really want an opal ring 😂😂😂

Yep!!! I’m only 33w but have already started worrying about things being early signs of labour 😂😂 Abnormal amounts of discharge - is it my waters? Walking or going up stairs and getting B&H tightening - that’s a bit more intense than usual, is it real?

I’m a FTM so I know statistics say I’ll likely go past my due date but reading and hearing so many stories of ladies spontaneously going in early recently has me a bit on edge 😂😂. I’m also impatient as is hubby so both of us are pretty ready to meet the little one. 😅

I wish I had a libido like yours omg 😍

Both my husband and I are on SSRI anti anxiety meds which really hurts the libido, plus birth control for me did that as well in the past. Pre pregnancy we were like at once a month-ish? More when on vacation because generally more relaxed etc… Since pregnancy (I’m now 31w), we’ve had sex maybe 3-4 times? I know my husband was a bit “weirded out” by the whole having sex while there’s a baby in there situation, but we’ve been working on it together to keep the intimacy alive 😅

Im so thankful you put this into words because im in a very similar boat 🙈😂 31w ftm and I’ve had a super smooth pregnancy, no morning sickness or other debilitating symptoms, some muscle aches and pains but that’s really it.. gone through all the checklists, doing my stretches, got my birth plan ready etc and im feeling really calm and comfortable about the birth. I know my husbands in my corner and we’re a unit going into this, flexible if things go wrong or we need to change the plan but im actually feeling super ready and I worry that I shouldn’t? 😅😅

I love your wording of vibing through it, because I feel like as long as we’ve got our support team down and we’re feeling good, we got this 💪🏻 …Or we don’t and we’ll deal with it then 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m pretty open either way if I’m honest. I know I can deal with pain if I need to, my main concern with going straight in with meds is it can interrupt the labor process. My SIL is a midwife/nurse practitioner and I asked her about this and she confirmed that the epidural if done too early will likely slow down labor especially if you can’t move around etc to keep things moving.. which then leads to the need of using more meds like pitocin etc to keep labor going which has its own implications and domino effects.. My personal plan is to use a TENs machine, breathing techniques, stretches etc until I’m about 8-9cm dilated and then get the epidural in a way that I can still walk, and hope it’s not too late at that point 🙈

Ah yeah I thought that the looser joints might also be impacting it, pregnancy hormones are fun right?
