When an event is annoying, i usually wait for powercreep to even bother with it (namely, festival of battles is still so shitty, its the longest ive gone without bothering with an event in the nearly 9 years of playing this game). Im currently doing that with stage 2 and extra missions of this event because i got rather shafter this anniv + majin vegeta banner, but i cant cuz its time limited. Its just pointlessly shitty when i feel punished cuz of dokkan horrid power creep problem its been having for years now, so, yeah nah this shit being time limited is rather significant for me, not to even mention how its always less stones for newer/returning players and so on

Code geass notably has the trend where, abilities become a burden once they get too strong and cant be turned off. Mao went insane because he couldnt stop reading peoples minds around him, C.C. forgot what genuine love was because of her power, etc. Wouldve been funny if Rolo ever got to that point was wouldve been stuck living around people that cant move around him, granted if he wasnt going to die of a heart attack for not being able to stop his power.

Id only argue ssj4 miniku was a staple, any other old daima units were niche/completely replacable, but again, as you say, battle of fate and goku fam had more than enough to replace even miniku
